Well they apparently didn't support him getting married with no prenup. That's what I'm saying though, there was already a strained relationship there.

Flat out its crazy to dump on Kobe for this. We don't know the relationship with anybody he's talking about in this letter. Usually those that come off as most arrogant or confident are super insecure as well. I could see with Kobe's career over him evaluating his relationships and wondering how many are around him or in his life for the money or out of love. Hence this letter where he would know if money is removed from the occasion where exactly those around him would stand.

Very possible Kobe is just a piece of shyt and being petty or it could be those around him being greedy and viewing him as a bank.

I completely disagree with the second part. I've seen families (including my own) that were super close but once the parents die and inheritance enters the equation all of a sudden the family fractures over how the money is split. At their core most people are selfish and about their own well being.
