Dude, when Kobe was putting up similar AND better numbers, people still had dumb shyt to say. Don't waste your time in threads like these because it's not made on rationale.

I just don't like the hypocrisy. It can't be when Kobe's teams do well and in 5 cases win championships

"We'll you can give credit to one player, its a team game"

But when Kobe's teams lose he gets all the blame. For some reason the whole "basketball is a team game" thing goes completely out of the window:laff:

Anyone knows who watches the games this year is that team is awful outside of Kobe and Dwight right now who Is a flawed scorer(while still good) who can't hit FTs. These are the guys that played last night outside of Bryant and Howard

Duhon
Morris
Artest
Meeks
Jamison
Ebanks
Hill

All those guys are scrubs getting major minutes. So in a situation like that it calls on Kobe to carry them offensively. Those games where they lost with him scoring 30 would've been blowouts if he didnt keep them in the game.

That's a valid point. Only problem is you can't criticize hypcrisy while being a hypocrite. You know as well as I do that if Bron was in the same boat all you would hear from the same nikkas :cape:in for Kobe now is "Bron can't even get over .500 WITH Dwight!" no matter what numbers Bron was puting up or what scrubs were playing major minutes. There is hypocrisy on both sides but you can't scream "Hypocrisy" if you are guilty of it yourself or while you tolerate hypocrisy that suits your bias.

Maybe so, but those hypocrites are outnumbered terribly by the hypocrites that say it's all about Kobe when they win and it's all about everyone else when they lose.

Malta is dropping knowledge and no one wants to listen :smh:

Now sure, the 1-10 record when Kobe shoots 20+ fga or scores 30+ points is somewhat of an ESPN stat, but at what point do people want to stop saying it's just dumb luck and coincidence? When you factor in FGA, FTA, and turnovers, Kobe is using an average of 10 more possessions in losses than in wins. People always try to say he just takes over when the rest of the team isn't clicking, but in many of these games, he used 10+ possessions in the 1st quarter alone. Is he psychic?

There are games where Kobe looks to facilitate, the Lakers play some inside out basketball, and look fairly functional, if not efficient, on offense. Other times, it looks like the Lakers sole focus the entire game is to get Kobe his fukking points. Kobe comes down court and goes into immediate ISOs. Duhon or Morris kill a fastbreak to slow down and set up a Kobe ISO. No one cuts to the basket or sets any screens so Kobe has more room to ISO. It's ugly basketball. If you look at most of the Lakers losses, that is the gameplan from start to finish, it isn't something that just manifests itself when the Lakers are down 10 and need a spark.

For the other guys on the team to be engaged and able to step up in big situations, they have to be regularly featured in the offense. The Lakers' roster has almost completely turned over the last few years but it's still the same story, teammates standing back and watching while Kobe goes into Kobeball. If Kobe wants those other guys to stand up to him and pull a Carlton Banks, he sure hasn't shown it.

Kobe is far from the biggest problem on the Lakers so to compare him to Jordan on the Wizards is ridiculous. The main problem I've had with Kobe this year is too many turnovers and him slacking on defense which mirrors the problem with the rest of the team. Nothing pisses me off more than seeing Kobe turn the ball over and then not even running back on defense.

The team really is missing Pau and the couple of easy baskets per game that he'd help set up.
