Karen Bass has done nothing for the Black people in LA, but rolls out the red carpet for Illegal Immigrants

Karen Bass was asked about Reparations at a Juneteenth celebration at Leimert Park, she acted like she could not hear and did a Kamala Harris:

Why settle for tangibles when we can watch her groove? She was doing us a favor with all that cosplaying.

Not to sound like a both sider. But both sides are wasting money on immgrants.
the Right spends too much money trying to temporarily eject them from the country until they either come back or are replaced by new ones.
and the left spends too much money trying to give them support, when they will still come here and eventually vote right anyway.

Best course of action is to take advantage of them of their cheap labor. Funnel the income tax we deduct from their pay checks to the america people. (ensuring the companies hiring them aren't paying them under the table.) and everybody wins. They get to live her and work jobs we don't want. the economy improves for the rest of us.
Or could arrest and convict them and have them work for free like they did the ancestors during reconstruction with the black codes. :sas2: :sas1:

I look forward to seeing Karen Bass and Gavin Newsom provide this treatment to tens of thousands of black people that are leaving "red states" to go to "blue states"🤑. Or rather, a reverse migration from a blue city in the south to a blue city in the west coast or northeast. Because thats been the solution proposed to getting through Trumps term.

I'm also sure bleeding heart liberals in LA will support rezoning measures for multifamily properties within earshot to handle this influx, NOT white flight out of there or close themselves off to gated wealthy communities and Hispanics will see the errors of their ways #blackandbrowncoalition✊🏿✊🏽

When the migrants were first being bused in, I saw orthodox or hasidics meeting the buses with sneakers and coats and shyt, wishing them a Merry Christmas :skip:- obviously, suspicious. Come to find out, what was started a a vehicle to re-settle 19th c jews fleeing eastern Europe has morphed into a global reshuffling of populations. The org in question, HIAS, is a big behind the scenes player. Funding was cut under Trump and it wasn't looking like Adams or Cuomo was with the bs. Voila: Mamdani. He don't even have to be complicit. Their goals are in alignment and he's already on record about the checks he gon cut for the cause.

Seattle, WA — Today, three national and local refugee-serving agencies and nine individuals filed Pacito v. Trump, the first lawsuit challenging President Trump’s Executive Order (EO) suspending the U.S. refugee resettlement program (USRAP), as well as the efforts by the Trump Administration to decimate the USRAP by withholding critical, congressionally-appropriated funding for refugee processing and services. The new federal litigation, filed in the Western District of Washington, asks the court to declare the EO illegal, enjoin all implementation of the EO, and restore refugee-related funding.

The lawsuit was filed by the International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP) on behalf of Church World Service (CWS), HIAS, and Lutheran Community Services Northwest (LCSNW) — whose ability to provide critical services to refugees in the U.S. and abroad has been severely inhibited by the suspension of USRAP and funding

Emergency Response for a Rapidly Changing World

HIAS is committed to proactively responding to emergencies and assisting displaced populations including refugees, asylum seekers, and internally displaced people. These emergencies are complex, arising out of conflict or political upheaval, natural disasters, and the worsening effects of climate change.

HIAS provides lifesaving assistance to refugees across the world, from food assistance for Sudanese refugees in Chad; defending the rights of Syrian and Afghan refugees in Greece; to leading the humanitarian response to the migration crisis in Venezuela. During the COVID-19 pandemic, HIAS quickly mobilized to provide needed cash-based and voucher assistance to refugees with urgent protection needs across a number of countries. HIAS also responded to the earthquake in Ecuador in 2016, and provided psychosocial support in Panama in the aftermath of Hurricane Iota in 2020.

In recent years, HIAS has expanded emergency preparedness and response capacity throughout the organization. A new Emergency Response Department has already played a pivotal role in HIAS’ ability to respond to emergencies like the fall of Afghanistan, leveraging a national affiliate network to welcome thousands of Afghan refugees.

Goatganda the pearl of Africa

Don't see anything there indicating that its free for refugees.

and on the thread topic:
Mayor Karen Bass announced a plan Friday to provide direct cash assistance to people who have been affected by the Trump administration’s sweeping immigration raids.

The aid will be distributed using cash cards with a “couple hundred” dollars on them, which should be available in about a week, Bass said at a news conference.

“You have people who don’t want to leave their homes, who are not going to work, and they are in need of cash,” she said.

Bass spoke about a family she met who needed two incomes to afford their rent. After one of the breadwinners was detained in an immigration raid, she said, the family is concerned they may face eviction.

It was not immediately clear what the qualifications will be needed to receive the cards.

The mayor emphasized that the money will not come from city coffers but from philanthropic partners. The cards will be distributed by immigrants rights groups such as the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles.

The city will coordinate between philanthropists and organizations distributing the cards, according to the mayor’s office.

The mayor compared the program to “Angeleno Cards,” created by Mayor Eric Garcetti in 2020 to give financial assistance to people struggling during the COVID-19 pandemic.

OP knows MF won't read and will immediately go into "I'M GETTING CHEATED!" mode. If ICE busted into your workplace and hurt YOU whilst trying to get someone and you can't work, shouldn't YOU get some compensation? there's nothing in this article indicating that you wouldn't. If you're an immigrant and got citizenship, but then these a$$holes claimed you're not a citizen, should you not get compensated? If you're one of these "passport brehs" and brought a wife from another country here and she got deported, shouldn't you get some compensation?
