This is coming from a man who thought Philly and Detroit were states.:skip:
He’s lucky he’s tall and athletic, because he’d probably be working at McDonalds if he was an average person.

I'm not defending LaMelo as some sort of philosopher and he definitely comes off as [Chris Rock]IGnant [Chris Rock]but I think you misunderstood that part he said about school.

He's saying all those things you learned in those courses you pretty much could've learned on your own from the textbooks. Teachers are only necessary for some skill sets/professions. It's the icing on the cake. Not the main source of learning. Schools are all about making money in our time.

LaMelo probably tryna repeat in his own words what he heard his pops or one of the grown men in his family say.

lol, good teachers can explain things in ways a lot of textbooks can't.

The book is already written and can't always account for certain or sometimes assumes you already know certain things. Ever tried taking, idk, calculus with someone who teaches exactly what the book says and someone else who actually answers questions like why a certain answer was wrong? There's a huge difference.

Being involved in a scam usually provides no benefits to the scammed.

While the pricing structure for college is indisputably flawed, a degree does lend itself to benefits for many.
its disproportionate as fukk

experience and certs will shyt on a degree with nothing behind it every time :yeshrug: I genuinely regret even attempting college coming out of high school

Most of the stuff school teaches you doesn't even help you in life. They don't teach you about financial freedom or building your own company if you want that's for sure. It's all about you entering a system that benefits the bigger guys at the top. All it does is get you in debt and fukk up your credit in the long run. Some people are still paying that shyt off and are stuck because of it.

you want to get a degree in computer science? too bad you gotta spend a grip and waste months 'learning' shyt like old american literature and music

imagine buying a car and the dealership saying you gotta pay for a tree and a TV first

The point is you don't need college per se to get access to such information in the age of the internet. You can access hundreds of textbooks and even tutors either for free or for a fraction of the tuition you pay for college.

College just has a stranglehold on the work force because they've managed to make a college degree a requirement for almost every decent paying job. It is for a large part definitely a scam.

That was like one of the few things Melo said that actually made sense lol.

He's definitely IGnant like many kids in his generation though. :snoop::francis::russ:
