If you were their lawyer, you'd have to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that A) this situation called for physical confrontation B) they HAD to push him down the steps for their own safetyif you're unable to do that, then yes..they did something wrong.

Like you said once you have a certain amount of properties it’s feasible to hire a management company.
Their reaction to finding out he was dead pretty much confirms it is.
