I'm too fukking ignorant to be a landlord. Imagine having the bank on your ass and some muthaphucka that you had an agreement with is not upholding his end of the bargain and you can't throw the fukker out of the house. Basically living for free on your dime.

I know myself and if I'm a landlord I wouldnt deal with tenants directly. I'd rather pay a property management company to do that for me.

The landlord should've just sent notices and after that file a 14-day notice for them to pay right away or get out, if the tenants refuse to leave then put in an eviction notice and if all else fails have the Sheriff dept forcibly escort them off the premises....

That's how it's done in NYS, it's a no-no for a landlord to physically harass a tenant for past due rent knowing it can put him/herself in danger.

They didnt push him down the stairs, they pushed him in order to have the space to secure the door. Not even police can come in to your house without permission or a warrant, who the fukk was he? And he swung first.

Trust me the landlord wouldn't care. Money is money. But you are absolutely fukking correct that the tenant would NOT have pushed etc a white landlord. I see this ALL THE TIME. This kinda hits home bc I have some rental properties and know that shyt can get real if you're not careful.

The landlord made a mistake that older men often make - which is react in a situation at their advanced age in the same way they would if they were 25 yrs old. Older landlords get beaten/killed etc in these circumstances. Unfortunately he was probably set in his ways and was pissed off (understandably) that these people were taking money out of his pockets. And theres nothing worse than a tenant that plays this game, especially in a place with laws tilted towards the tenant. The best thing to do is the SECOND the rent is late to give whatever the required notice is to pay, and after the waiting period to just file for eviction and let the attorneys/sheriff handle this. Of course there are exceptions when you know/trust/like a tenant - so everyone's capacity for giving extensions etc will differ.

Sad shyt. When that piece of shyt puts his hands on his head like "OMG he's dead" it made me want to kick his head into the sidewalk until his face is vaporized.

RIP to the landlord but he can't force himself into the tenants house. He should've followed proper protocol.

I believe tenants was already locked out by landlord for failure to pay, tenant then used a drill to get himself back into the crib.
