This... When you strip it all down we might as well say being a pro athlete is a 9 to 5 gig. Most people hate their jobs and more than likely there's cats in pro sports that hate playing but they're built for the chosen sport and they're damn good at it.. And it pays extremely well so they stick around and collect checks. Personally I always had the feeling that Barry Bonds couldn't stand baseball even though he was a beast in it. Go ahead and wish Sanders peace and happiness but some in here are trying to make us feel sorry for an athlete playing in the NBA. To be more specific: a 9 to 5 gig that requires 10-15 years of your life (if you're lucky) and pays for a lifetime of savings.
Larry Sanders had the rest of his life to read, paint, write books and do computer animation. he also had the offseason to do it too
