I did research on the Igbo a year or so ago and found that Igbo in the 1950s, as pictured by cacs, were not dissimilar to neighboring African tribes in dark skin complexion. Igbo villages were virtually indistinguishable to Yoruba and the like in the pictures I saw. This matches the genetic findings as well: Igbo are not genetically dissimilar from Yoruba. The only explanation is bleach. Time and money does not change a man's base skin tone.

The vast majority of light-skinned Igbos do not bleach, where did you get this information from? I agree with your first point though as the majority of Igbo people are in fact dark-skinned. They just don't tend to be, on the whole, as dark as other Nigerian ethnic groups. Igbos being light-skinned is just exaggerated, usually by other white and black people, because they already have a preconceived notion that Africa is homogenous and thus every African must look a certain way.

Some people marry a particular person because of their religion and they would like whatever children they would have to belong to that faith is that wrong?
