She said nobody asked her to make a followup to the Miseducation album?? :dwillhuh:

I need more context to this rant

Nah she lying as usual. Of course the label wanted and expected a second album. At various times she worked on one, including with Kanye. But she also joined a religious cult that altered her behavior, convinced her to end ties with her managers, and harmed her relationship with the label. Google "Brother Anthony Lauren Hill" and you'll see it all.

End of the day she can tour that album until the end of time. She has no incentive to drop a new album and hasn't for quite some time.

Columbia has a history of not really believing in their artists regardless of how successful they are. Beyonce was told her debut album didn't have any hits by execs at Columbia. They told Lauryn Hill to link up with The Trackmasters.

Part of the reason why she left the industry is because it doesn't matter how successful you are, you are still expendable at the end of the day especially if they have other artists selling records that are willing to jump through hoops that you won't.

There's a big difference between a major label doubting that an upcoming album will be a success (Beyonce) and reacting to a successful album by saying "nah we good, we don't need a follow up to your diamond selling album." She's lying, plain and simple. The standard major label response to a massive album is to offer to renegotiate the deal in order to get more albums in exchange for a larger advance. And if the artist is too smart to fall for that, the next step is to open up the budget and see if the artist will fall into the "spend a lot of money and don't re-coup" sequel album trap.

She lost her mind, completely changed into a different person (extremely arrogant, extremely disrespectful, delusional, etc) and joined a cult. That's why there was no second album.

Would never pay to seen an act with reputation for lateness/no shows.

People who buy tickets to see her are suckers.

love you L Boogie....but kindly shut the fukk up....you sound entitled as hell.

I've done seen you about 3-4 times, each time you was late and rushed your set, and your band played different instrumentals to the songs. Luckily I wasn't there just to see you, as I had Nas, De la, etc. as headliners, so I wasn't mad at the night overall.

you had one hot album every 25-year average
Caught her and Nas in DC. She was late and the use of different instrumentals had even her fans like :dahell:

Thankfully Nas came back and saved the show.

That, and the fact she sounds terrible now anyway. Those types of rants she just had are usually made by folks that are not right in the head like Katt Williams/Kanye.
