No. He was the best player for all 5 rings. Check the Western Conference Finals those years when the championship was really decided.

Kobe played better than Shaq against Portland in Game 7 of the 2000 WCF (that was the real NBA finals that year). In 2001, he outperformed Shaq once again in the Western Conference Finals against San Antonio dropping 45 points in game 1 of that series. And in 2002, he played just as good as Shaq against Sacremento.

he ddnt win anyMVP final during the first 3peat
everything u said is irrelevant
shaq was the best player

Hill definitely was on-ball more last night. Not even debatable
That’s not the point of contention fakkit. The debate is over whether someone other than Lebron was initiating the offense as the answer is no. Hill maybe being slightly more aggressive in spots where he had the ball is irrelevant. Lebron was still the only one initiating the offense in any kind of consistent basis.

Shaq was easily the best player in the world from 2000-2002, then Duncan and KG the next few yrs.

LeBron actually started playing defense tonight. He was very active and made several great blocks. He finally used some of his energy to play defense tonight rather than just standing around like he did in game 2 so he could have energy to put up some empty stats on offense.

He also was unsefish on the offensive end. He actually let teammates like George Hill (a guy who is listed as a PG) actually handle the ball and create some offense rather than simply reducing them into spot up shooters for his assists. Who woulda known that when you give the ball to other NBA players that they know how to dribble, pass, and shoot.

This game proved that LeBron has more than enough help to beat the Celtics. He just wasn't playing the right way to get the most out of them. He was playing for stats rather than wins.

Tonight he played for the win rather than stats. And he's so talented that even in playing such an unselfish game, he put up outstanding stats. Bravo LeBron. This is how you're supposed to play if you actually want to win.
Please point me to the games where you shyt on Kobe for freezing his teammates out and not letting the player listed as PG handle the ball more. Just want to see that you are being consistent here

Not even prime Wade and Bosh were enough to save Bron's legacy :sadbron:

Bron had to be in deep with the Russians or something. That 2011 Finals performance is appalling :picard:

nikka stop. You didn’t even remember to put AI in there and AI was definitely considered a top 2-3 player from 2000 to 2002. Kobe was top 5 at worst in the early 2000s.

Have you ever played basketball in your life? If you have, tell me how you would react if one dude is dribbling the ball all day on offense, taking nearly every shot. And when he's not shooting, he waits until the shot clock is running out to kick it out to someone to take a jump shot so he can record an assist. Plus this dude isn't playing a lick of defense as he saves his energy for offense.

How would you react? Would you play hard on defense? Or would you slack off on defense like him?

There's a reason all the great coaches say the ball has energy. Coaches like Phil Jackson didn't emphasize ball movement just so they can be efficient on offense. They also do it so that the players will play harder on defense. Cause they all know that the more guys touch the ball on offense the harder they play on defense. Why else do you think Boston is #1 in the NBA defensively. Its not just great coaching. Its also because they are so balanced scoring the ball on offense, everyone feels apart of the offense, and thus plays harder on defense knowing they'll see the ball when they regain possession.

Topics like this separate the guys who have actually played ball from the nerds who just play video games and think analytics tell them what they need to know about the game.

Yes I have actually.... up a few guys that played in the ACC and couple that ended up making the league (one even is a NBA champ)

Well first of all on the Defensive front, I will at least lock my guy up and make sure he aint getting buckets like that.... oh yea... I got 3 other teammates on the court.... would be great if THEY are doing their fukking job and played lights out defense too. Because I would take pride in MY defense, thats MY REACTION and I would stress they do TOO.

If I'm as good as I think I am... you know a starter and one of the top guys in the league to be privileged enough to be a starter on an NBA team. I'm helping out when I can, like if someone passes by Bron, me and others should "SLIDE" over to him force him to pass the ball out while everyone else "ROTATES" accordingly. Not sit there and fukking Watch... and thats not just for Lebron, ANYONE. If another teammate gets beat, fukking ROTATE. I know its wont work ALL the time because some guys are REALLY GOOD or just them lucky shots.... but thats NO EXCUSE to not work.

Back on offense, how about I get some buckets myself? How about when I shoot, make my shots so I can get the ball more and the defense actually turns their attention to me a bit? How about I get to the free throw line a bit more and hit them shots?

And if one teammate is holding the ball, how about I dont just fukking stand there and watch, maybe I flash to the gaps in the defense or set a pick for another teammate to run off and get open, or even pick the ballholder and roll where he can either get to the lane or give me the ball and how about I actually MAKE THAT fukkING SHOT?

Defense is still about PRIDE. Yes everyone would love to be a scorer but would be GREAT if the entire team does THEIR JOB on defense whether he does or not.

I'm not gonna throw my old teammate under the bus so I'm not gonna name names here, but I did play with a guy that went to NC STATE. When we played, fukk Lebron he was more like KOBE with his shot selection, I remember one game he put up 52 shots. But he was a black hole, but did that stop ME from playing HARD on DEFENSE? fukk NO, I locked my guy down and if or WHEN he got beat, Me and other teammates made sure to rotate infront of whomever to contest or make them pass it back out. But NONE of use LACKED because we took PRIDE in playing DEFENSE as a team. We aint make no excuse for HIS lack of defense. THATS WHAT A fukkING ZONE DEFENSE IS FOR anyway.

We played a lot of 1-3-1 defense and 2-3. On the inbound after scores we either did a FC 2-2-1 or 1-2-1-1.

Maybe topics like this separate people, but it would be kinda cool if you asked folks if they actually played or not played and allow them to response verse assume shyt. We can have a cool discussion about it but try not throw little insults or shots when you're not informed. Especially when no one came for you like that.

Draymond is a bad example ..he gives that team much more than just 11 points.
