If the raptors are high on Rui trade him for Jakob poetl and that instantly makes the team better defensively and rebounding wise.if you can get Kessler while keeping Rui do that trade.

Kessler is much better that Poetl and is younger, probably still better. Poetl is a finished product and probably on the downside of his career.

He took a 1 year discount "prove it" deal cause he tested FA and no one gave him any money. You're not getting a "star player" for DLOs contract as a 1st apron team

you don’t watch the games and it shows. He plays with the 2nd unit and is typically the only starter and asked to carry the horrific bench unit

He’s the only player, since he’s the Lakers only real playmaker, who you can put with that bench unit to try and get anything from them.

Reaves and DLO were routinely hunted on defense, and Rui and Dalton were just as bad (Dalton probably worse)

Tbh if they aren't gonna flip Bron and AD, I feel like we're just getting the wrong message about the timeline. They still got at least a year out of Bron, maybe more. Bron-AD-AR-pieces is too good to get you a really good prospect. So they're burning at least one of those firsts (unless one of that big 3 gets hurt for the year next year, which isn't impossible I guess).
If you are going to ride them out for another year or two, I feel like you may as well go ahead and flip up to 2 FRPs. I wouldn't do more than 2. Especially if you end up getting a Kessler, who should still have tradeable value in 2 years or so anyway

Nobody wants to play with him or AD. Those boys and Klutch were genuinely politicking and trying to end Westbrook's career once they determined that he was of no use to them. You're scapegoated in every loss and disrespected when it's time to actually celebrate. They better get Rich Paul and Maverick Carter a jersey & insert Bronny into the starting lineup. The Klutch 5 is as good as it's going to get until they're both out of the door.
