Dirk style was always fun to watch lmao, you are just a weird dude who thinks every player has to have some mixture of athleticism/skill to be appealinv
Bruh these guys who say Dirk was boring, or Dirk was never amongst the best players in a given year, are guys who a)just shyt on white boys and would shyt on Bird if he played today (because we all know there were brothers who shyt on Bird just because he was white in his own era), and b)guys who watch games more for highlight reel shyt than effective ball...
Dirk wasn't a nonstop highlight reel but when he was cooking he was ripping hearts out and he was a show. The Mavs home arena, you could feel the vibe thru the TV when dude started cooking, that was unique even amongst great players of his era...I loved watching him play...
I never understood the, “if such and such player didn’t have X attribute that they’ve mastered they wouldn’t be that good”
100, like we could literally play that game with every single player, but for what?
Plus, downplaying Bron's ability to get to the rack is actually a gross oversimplification of his other strengths. I don't get people who say his game isn't pretty to watch, his bag is as deep as anybody we've ever seen...
This is one of the main reasons his peers always said Kobe was better.
His peers have tapped Kobe as better because a)all his peers are either younger than Kobe and grew up on Kobe's era as fans of Bean the same way all of us who didn't make the NBA did, and b)his peers were slightly older than LeBron and played more of their careers in Kobe's prime than they did in LeBron's prime...
It's hard to take emotional bias out of questions like this, and its asinine to believe guys who've played have no emotional bias regarding topics such as this...
