If he didnt alteast approach Bron/ the league about this before suing, then this is snake shyt. Not only that but its a dumbazz move. He'll be known as the sports photographer who tries to sue star athletes, and no one will want to do business with him.

If Youre in the rare position of gaining leverage on an all powerful industry entity, youre supposed to get them to help you first. If you go sraight for the pin you'll be maimed in the process.

If the NBA doesn't have a deal regarding when the give out press badges that dude is 100% in the right. That said, most photographers allow the athletes to use their picture without paying if they get a tag.

This is on LeBron and NBA.
He's not gonna get more press badges though.

I don’t see how this works for him. Everything basketball related in an NBA arena is under the NBA trademark. If you enter an NBA arena as a fan every photo you take is under the NBA umbrella.

The NBA allows you too take those photos home but they don’t have to.

Where is this stated?

That's a slippery slope for sure. That seems like something that would go to the high courts.

most of these millionaires and billionaires are able to do that,
especially when they have the capital to continually capitalize off of it. The thing is there is the trademark office decides that and they can always say "No" to the request, as they did in that case.
This the same guy that opened up a school in his city that kids can go to free of charge. At Least he's reaching back and helping the community out, and this is also the same guy that has sent 193 kids to college on his own dime. People can knock him on the court in some instances but I would stand behind much of what Lebron has done and committed to off the court.

As long as the money is distributed right. Many people in a well off position won't even do that, so I still credit him for what he's doing.
