And it wasn't like they didn't have bodies. Gibson, Korver, Bogans, CJ Watson, Kurt Thomas, Rasual Butler....they ain't world-killers but at least half those guys could give you minutes on any given day.

Heat didn't do it much better though. Chalmers subbed in for Wade for half the 4th and otherwise it was LeBron-Bosh-Haslem-Miller playing damn near the entire 4th and overtime without a break. LeBron actually didn't sit the entire 2nd half (averaged over 45 minutes/game that series).

You really gonna forget Deng like that? :stopitslime: Deng held his own.

Rose-Deng-Boozer (with Gibson backing him), Noah pounding the boards and Korver/Bogans shooting isn't that bad an offensive lineup, not as bad as it's always portrayed.

I love Deng but he couldn't create his own shot and is a 3rd option kinda guy. Boozer could only hit high post jumpers. Korver always choked in the playoffs for us and Bogans is a total non factor. Offense was totally dependent on a 6'2" guard to make something outta the nothing every time

The key is having a 2nd guy who can score off the dribble....they didn't have anyone who could make Miami pay for doubling Rose. Honestly they woulda been better served starting CJ Watson at 2...decent shooter and could get to the rack sometimes. Starting Bogans basically made it 3 on 5 offensively as Noah was no threat to score

In game 1 the TNT crew were talkin about the Bulls were a better defensive team than the 2004 Pistons, sipping the koolaid. And then Miami turned up the defense.

I think we can all agree that Lebron played some great individual defense in addition to Miami playing great team defense, in addition to "Boozer and shooters". Young fellas may not know what i mean by that last part. 10 years is a long time ago.

Honestly the Bulls were pretty much as good as the 04 Pistons defensively, nobody expected anybody to be able to limit the Heat Big 3 and Thibs did it consistently.

Problem is most guys on the Bulls were 1 way players. It was before the spacing revolution. We needed Ben Gordon :sadcam:

I'm saying, Lebron individually doesn't deserve any credit for the Bulls not being able to score.
No sir give credit locking up any great player is a team effort but give credit to his assignment.

D-Rose may have been basketball’s top closer in 2011 and was held to 1 of 15 (6% FG) when matched up with LeBron in 4Q’s...

All this showed was how inept the rest of the team was in this game, and how much rose carried this team , to get to this point .

The first 3 or 4 mins of the 4th included turn overs , offense fouls , and korver brickin every 3 he through up

While mike.miller lights it up on the other end

I’m thankful the NBA realized the concept of spacing after this season. The Heat and Bulls had none.

The 2011 Mavs were really one of the first pace and space teams. Dirk of course being the revolutionary shooting big man. Tyson the first “vertical spacer”. Then the shooters Kidd, Stevenson, Peja, Terry, etc.

The TNT crew thought yall were gon wax the Heat like they were the '04 Lakers, and felt even more cocky about it after the game 1 trashing. That's why they were big upping yall with the Pistons.

With that said, it was 85-85 with 30 seconds left, yall ball.. and then same score with 8 seconds left-yall ball, where yall had a chance to tie it up 2-2. Then game 5 you guys were up a shyt load before that 2 minute 3 point barrage fukkery between Wade and Bron happened.

So there's at least 2 games yall left on the table. The teams were closer than the final series tally suggests, and closer than Chuck/Kenny were too biased to admit up front.

Yes, 2011 LeBron is honestly one of his worst versions. I cringe when people say he should have won MVP.

The athletic drop from 2010 to 2011 doesn’t get talked about enough. I don’t know if it’s just me but LeBron looked a lil taller like he grew an inch that summer. LeBron has never recovered his athleticism from his last Cleveland stint for as athletic as he still was.

Also, the Mavs zone just needs credit they locked up Kobe and Durant too in these playoffs.
The Mavs zone was legit no doubt. But if we're keeping it a buck.....Heat could have swept that series.

Game 2 they were dominating. Usually when his team has a lead....Bron just toys with teams. I dont think that was the game he went into his shell though. Its just all those long clutch 3s he was hitting in the other series he couldn't hit in game 2. Just missed. However, after that he noticably took a backseat the rest of the series. Its like he knows he shouldnt have took the hothand away from Wade, but still...he shouldnt have let that hurt him in the other games.

Yea I cant explain the athleticism dip. He recovered a lot in 2012 (his jumper was broke in those playoffs, but his athleticism made up for it)

Bron still took entirely TOO LONG to make a play against the Mavs. Its like he was trying to rest and then make a play. I'd argue any other version of LeBron, except his rookie year, probably wins that finals.

The Bulls had a fringe top 10 offense they lacked a secondary shot creator and shooters and were dependent on Rose for creation. But they didn’t suck.

And that series was closer than 4-1. The Heat just executed down the stretch. LBJ and Wade went on a personal run to get the Bulls out of there. There’s been worse offenses in the Finals and besides the Bulls were the best defensive team in the game.

It was way closer than 4-1..almost every game went down to the last 2 minutes. Bulls always came up due to no shooting and limited scoring from others....way too many 1 way guys(Noah, asil, brewer, bogans)

Had they started Taj and Watson, they would have had chances to build bigger leads early in the game

How many of those guys can handle the ball and create for themselves or others?

Kurt Thomas:dwillhuh:

38 year old Kurt Thomas:gucci:

Deng couldn't take more than 4 dribbles.

Korver couldn't put the ball on the floor and his shooting always goes to shyt in the post season.

Ronnie Brewer?

Keith Bogans?

No one was scared of Noah offensively.
