Let's be honest, if you can't find a job right now, you don't actually want one

Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
This isn't true. You just need to live someplace outside of NY/Cali/DC.

My last one bedroom was about 650/mo. And that wasn't a room, it was an apartment that included heat, water, and a covered parking spot.

I'll never understand why people want to live in stupid expensive areas :heh:
Probably because you are ignorant. Expensive areas are literally the same places that drive Americans economy

That’s where all the big paying jobs and networks are.

Every place that sees growth in industry also sees growth in COL.

Tryna solicit folks, but no one is biting.
Lank to your thread :feedme:
Have you ever owned a business?
How did you come to the amount of $15?
No and I came to that number based on cost of living.

Far as your first question, I can actually understand a lower wage being paid by small business owners who don’t have the profit to pay their employees a lot but any multi million/billion dollar corporation should not be allowed to pay less than $15/hr, 20+ in places with higher COL. :unimpressed:

So it's impossible to get a job in any area without a ridiculously high COL? :skip:

And where was this?

Michigan.

Even now it's not that hard to find an apartment for under $1000/mo. For $1500+ you can basically live in a gated community (in some cities) or get a house. Obviously some parts are more expensive but it's not like you have to live in those places.

You don't HAVE to pay 2000+/mo for rent/mortgage, that's a choice. Nothing wrong with it if you can afford it, but it's a choice.

That is a debatable statement. Most companies with low profit margins make their money through volume such as retail stores. That's just to way they are setup. Still that excuse has been made a talking point to justify low pay while these same million dollar companies avoid taxes. And doesn't include the ones take the money and reinvest it in products like hedge funds or buy back stocks where workers will see none of that.

People do deserve shyt. At least in a proper functioning society.
Goodness...Republicans have fukked over the populace mentally to think they don't deserve shyt.
Mf’er really said Wendy’s is hiring for 13 :jawalrus:

Foh. They’re a multi-billion dollar corporation, they should be paying a livable wage.

This is the problem. We have been convinced people don't deserve a living wage. This is the inherent learned cruelty of American life.

People are homeless and jobless? Its their fault...not the fact that capitalism has made the divide between the haves and the have nots farther and farther.
