the lack of uptempo songs is even worse than the vulgarity
as a breh that came up on FUNK or even soul with an actual bassline/backbeat, this era is :sadcam:

you can make vulgarity work if the song bangs, problem is modern r&b tries to mix cussing with ballads which makes it sound more crass and goofy

In this type of threads, you always have people that will bring up some old song to prove that "it's always been like that".

Acting like there is no difference between something being marginal and that thing becoming the norm.

There is a pornographization of RnB. Anyone saying it's always been like that is lying.

This. I can't tell if these nikkas are just this stupid orrrrr.....

So much of modern discourse is people pretending they don't understand things & it's so frustrating.
Playing devils advocate to try and seem more intelligent or different. It's an annoyance when attempting to get to the truth of any matter. They'll argue shyt they dont even believe in just to be different
