jay elect lives a life totally opposite to his bars. imagine if the local crackhead down the street rapped jay zs bars... the man gives the bars impact. its worse for him because he came in on some anti illuminati revolutionary shyt and ended up being second to a rothchild white woman. dudes whole persona is some lame shyt. listen to his early shyt and imagine that guy going off drunk on twitter... dude is the epitome of a fake rapper. dudes vanilla ice status fake

dont ever compare him to priest. a legend yall comparing to a lukewarm rapper 20 years after he came out. priest is a god mc dont dare shyt on him cause yall like jay more. bible shyts on jay els career

The thing is I'm still eating off the shyt he dropped in '09. His shyt ages like wine breh :manny:

My comparison was to show you how dumb your comparison was to me. Since when is a rapper better because of dropping more albums or doing more shows..

After Lupe dropped his Fahrenheit 1/15 series, I already put him above 80% of rappers EVER :dahell:

But if you wanna talk about relevancy, Jay Elect was on arguably the biggest song of the year :dahell:
sure he was on Control, but did anyone really care about his verse tho? the song taking on a life of its own had nothing to do with him. Jay Elect is not in Lupe's league at all.

You can't be heralded as some type of Great when you haven't put in the work. He's played himself into irrelevancy and in serious danger of being a total flash in the pan.

first off priest is an O.G. with an appearence on a classic 90s album. - nothing to do with rap skill

second; priest first appearence on wax is as heralded as nas verse from verbal intercourse. jay elec has no classic debut appearence nor does he have a verse as heralded as KP's first. - exhibit c was jay elect's classic debut, also more heralded than anything KP ever did

third; Jay Electronica is a hippocrite and hasnt even fully blossomed in the industry. newer artists like saigon and papoose and joell ortiz took years before they even attempted any commercial stance or what we call "selling out" - how is he a hypocrite? still has nothing to do with what he does on the mic.

jay elec went from riding puffy, to SOHH posting, back to the underground to then mysteriously appear aligned with puffs good friend jay-z. - once again, nothing to do with rap skill

soon after releasing exhibit C he was rewarded with a mountain dew commercial. -

you guys tell me what artists in the game were given PepsiCo. commercials with literally buzz off one underground single which actually demonizes the standards. -

then we have his "jim jones kanye jeezy" diss on that one song from years ago, only to have him 180 and big all those artists up. - never heard that song but if true, it was a smart move to make that 180. still doesn't make him less skillful of a rapper

now take into account his twitter history (which he deletes) and you have the makings of an industry plant. - really breh?? i delete my twitter history too

killah priest has neither sold out or even publicaly beefed with the WU for 20 years. - not skill related

a priest is a man who works for god. - not skill related

electronica is a genre of dance music from the 90s. - not skill related

its in the name. - not skill related

first he's 'off the radar' then when i mention him being on Control it's 'did anyone care about his verse'

just say you hate Jay Elect :yeshrug:

and i never said he was in Lupe's league, just showing you an example that mixtape rappers can be better than rappers with albums out

Jay Electronica has released some good music, but no, I don't think he's better than Killah Priest.

his whole "pure black man, concious, taking down the devil" persona he put out in his raps is fake. Do i really gotta point out the line in his songs that correlate with that? his whole shyt is based on that. just like priest is a "religious spirtual street mc", jay elect is what i labeled. difference between the two is jay is a buffoon in real life

ok we all know the diss record was most likely for shock value, which is somewhat understandable post 2000 due to oversaturation :manny:

longevity? it's not like he can't keep up in the race, it's not like he's trying and failing, he hasn't dropped much of anything.

still your comments don't have much to do with his mic skills.. like if elect and priest were on stage on some 8 mile shyt, you really think priest would give jay that work? :shaq2:

the only battle i ever heard about from either of them was a live battle PRIEST vs CANIBUS (Prime, 1996) and priest winning. what does a battle have to do with anything,. you disregarded priests 20 year career already. i know your a jay stan but chill breh. priest aint the one.

im a fan of both and they have their own angle..Priest is part of the greatest and legendary group in hip hop..he made a lot of duds and blessed us with one of the most intricate and crafted song in hip hop, BIBLE..he has his place for sure.

Jay elec came out of no where and teased us for years and years to come,I like what he has to offer but he loves delaying and releasing half made products..So its unfair to compare and have them compete..ya feel me?
