Folks can be like "it's just one player", but when schools are investing millions in these players with NIL, all it takes is that one player pulling stunts like this for them to change the rules of NIL. If a player is seriously injured, I don't think that the player should be penalized, but if you're pulling yourself out of games and doing shît like saying you aren't playing minutes before tipoff, there shouldn't be ANY outrage if they decide to pay on a game by game or week by week basis.
