Trying not to get drafted by the your Wizards/Pelicans:manny:
And wtf he gonna do if they both end up at 1 and 2? It’s not like he really enjoys college. Bill just need to stop starting him and use him as a 6th man since he and his team want him on a minutes restriction. Notice this nikka never sits out against lesser comp. He puts up hella shots/points against the scrubs then has the “flu” against top flight competition

I would have concerns as a team that this kid has a love for the game at all. When the competitive juices get flowing at any level, I don't know how somone could do the things he's done this season. Compare that with what we've seen from Dybantsa and it's night and day. I know who I'd feel much more comfortable with on my team and who I believe would be motivated to max out their ability in the league.

In fairness, it should also be said that this is also a result of what we've seen in the NBA with load managing. The message from the NBA has been: don't push yourself, don't wear yourself out, all that matters is your next contract and getting as many as possible. This is coming from both teams and players.

Peterson is just the first high profile player to adopt this mentality in college and he won't be the last.
You said exactly what I was going to right here.

Last night, I saw someone, a lottery pick, play damn near an entire double overtime game. He wasn't out there worried about getting injured. I hate when ppl use the risk of injury excuse as it pertains to the upcoming draft.

I don't watch college basketball but I'm following the NBA draft subreddit because the griz are lottery bound. I be seeing his numbers like dang he only had 22 tonight all these other prospects getting 40+. Then I check and he be playing like 18 minutes.

Imma still draft him one :dead:

He’s talented as fukk but to me either option is a red flag :manny:

If he’s load managing in college to “protect” his draft stock, red flag

If he’s load managing because his body is already that banged up at 19, red flag

Closing minutes of a big game, he’s healthy enough to play but content with not getting out there, red flag

It’s a conundrum because he might be the most talented player draft class but there’s some real question marks there to investing in him as your franchise player

More than likely, this is it
His agent has a history of this. He told Joel to shut it down after he got hurt against Oklahoma State in 2014.

His dad/agent are terrified of an Achilles injury..so much so that they’re willing to let his public image get killed with this DNP shyt.

This is alarming at this point if it's not injury related. It's not a good look any other way they try to spit it if that's not the case. Not going to call him a diva but he's kind of giving off those vibes right now.

As someone who has Kansas on his list of final four teams, I would hate to see them playing in an elite 8 game where he takes himself out the game out of fear of injury. Even worse if he has ppl in his ear talkin' about "I would sit this one out. We have to think about the draft"

You don't want that mentality to carry over into the league.

On another note, I give Self props for navigating through all of this. Hell of a coaching job, considering his health issues
