He has been a star since day one and I think you guys are underestimating how much the youth looked up to him.

People 16 and under didn’t want to be Juvenile we wanted to be Lil Wayne. He was always my favorite.

This is facts.

People bring up how Wayne was suicidal cause he flopped and people ignore it. Wayne didn’t remotely become the Wayne “everyone” started liking til C1.

Drought 1 and squad up tapes were cool and was like the ground being leveled C1 laid the concrete for the foundation
Lil Wayne was suicidal because his mother wasn’t going to let him rap and stay on cash money.

Stop it. Wayne was nice at 14
Decent. Bro was decent, but he had some swag to him and he had lil quips here and there
Wayne been spitting since 95 shut yo ho ass up
He "had a career" since 95. Bro wasn't that nice
\\\\

nikka no. Lil Wayne was ass lol. Only person worse than him in the group was Turk.
Nah. nikkas actually thought Turk was the best and wanted his album to come out SOOO BADD lol. And when his shyt finally dropped so did any of his buzz
Tune was blacking out on the lights out album in 2000
Nah, not really. Those were like "Sqad Tapes" tier.
yeah Luda was actually bigger then Wayne until Carter 3
Nah. Wayne had already set shyt on fire w/ C1, and C2 w/ the subsequent features had him on top by 07. Lida was on the decline ever since after Red Light District, it was the same song and dance. He cut his shyt losing all his powers and gave us Release Therapy in 06.
Them sqad up tapes from like back in 2002 got some his best rapping on there them mannie fresh beats was holding him back carter 1 production was fire tho
No it don't breh. Keep it a bean. The Squad tapes only showed us his growth as it was happening. He didn't even have the "east coast rapping" label yet. I personally feel he held back a little cuz he knew he was gonna have us going crazy w/C1.

....and another thing...we don't talk down on Manny Fresh round these parts.. especially his production

Wayne been a monster since the mid 90s. Crazy that he couldn't curse and used adlibs and sound effects instead to add visuals to his verses. He wrote damn near all of the famous choruses for CMR. I tell people all the time and they think I'm crazy but even though his voice was high pitched and he was still young, I always preferred non cursing Wayne. His verses and choruses were just more creative back then on those Hot Boys, B.G., Bigtymers, and Juvy albums. It forced him to be a better rapper. I'm not getting into the top 10s and shyt b/c its goofy and pointless.

Juve and Wanye were the Mega stars, B.G was the hood star and turk was turk.
Anyone that listen to the hotboys would tell you this, everyone knew wayne was going to be a problem. The fact that he couldn't curse and was out rapping rappers at a young age and it's wasn't cheesy or corny you knew he was something special.
Baby and Mannie and juve saw it too, that's why when singles would drop on anyone of their albums someone would get replaced for a wayne verse :manny:

Wayne was not a mega star until like 2007. Nobody looked at Wayne like that.

Juvenile was the go to feature from the Hot Boys. You could say the same for B.G.

Funny cause you a Wayne Stan
Of course I know this

When I say Missy Elliot I mean just makes fun music but no one takes them seriously as a top rapper.

They have creative videos and funny lyrics but they ain’t taken serious when it comes to being mentioned with the greats.

Missy singles actually aged better than Ludas 😅
