Living paycheck to paycheck is disturbingly common: ‘I see no way out.’

I don’t oppose this...
Might help bring aptitude test back and move us away from the college or bust rut we are in.

I’ll await the details.
I was having a discussion about this on NYE. I'll skip over the dialogue and get to the conclusion.

The reason people are encouraged to go to college and find employment is simple:

Black people shouldn't have to risk their lives just to make the same living as their white peers.

Foreign laborers do lower wages for blue collar workers though. You can’t say the Coli is out of touch about how life is like for the average person but then be such a classist that you don’t care about how illegal immigration deflates wages. Wages have kept stagnant for decades. The average American makes like $40,000, is in debt up to his eyeballs, has very little saved for retirement and doesn’t have ten $100 bills in the bank. I think the 1% captured some 80% of the wealth generated last year. Companies took that tax cut and bought back shares instead of investing in their employees and companies :umad: If you can read all that and still support 500,000 to 1 million undocumented people coming in every year then you definitely give no fukks about anyone but yourself.

Your opening statement and conclusion don't fall in line with your evidence.

What you actually described is corporate profiteering and the disregard for labor laws suppress wages.

I think blacks with provable aptitude and a lower price point could begin to make meaningful head way.
Removing some of the ‘college or bust’ will help I think.

Making the same living as whites without going above and beyond unfortunately isn’t on the table right now... as far as I can tell.

The data shows the wealth gap between blacks and whites is greater when both have gone to college. It’s in no way an equalizer...
So pushing college widens the gap.

:Wheretheydothatat:

Try looking at the wealth gap between college educated and non college educated blacks.

Again, I made a distinction between going above and beyond in the same field and shoveling blacks towards jobs that have a higher risk of losing their life.

You not having the intelligence to connect the dots has nothing to do with me. The top 1% are hoarding the wealth in this country. Wages have remained stagnant for everyone else. Most of our generation will likely work until they die, never have enough to retire on and never pay back their debts. On what logical basis can you argue adding another ten to fifty million people to this scenario who WILL undercut wages. Serious question. Are you a troll?

Do immigrants use services?

Is it 10 million or is it 50 million?

If wage growth is down for everyone outside the top 1% then obviously there's a bigger factor than illegal immigration.

But please, pull some data to support your argument. :feedme:

:hubie:I think white supremacy has hamstrung blacks in such a way that we need multiple avenues into the middle class...
College as the only real key isn’t the best course in my opinion.

That said, I believe cacs have refined their hate and are capable of discriminating and keeping blacks out of the middle class with these laws in place. I don’t believe they are effective.

Google it. There’s 11 to 22 million illegal migrants already here with hundreds of thousands crossing every year. Fact.

So what to your other point. They lower wages and they’re illegals. You have no ground here. That’s like saying if I got $50,000 stolen from me, I shouldn’t trip over someone stealing $200.

Look around. Use common sense. Again, use Google. All those blue collar jobs you keep disregarding paid livable wages once. We shipped most of our manufacturing overseas to lower wages, with Mexico being a large recipient and a good amount of blue collar jobs here were replaced with immigrants to do the jobs for half or a third the pay.

You're attempting to conflate immigrants and illegal immigrants which is dishonest.

The reality is that while illegal immigrants can lower wages, they aren't the primary mover for stagnant wage growth.

Over the pazt 40 years there has been attacks on collective bargaining, pensions, and worker's rights in this country.

This has coincided with corporations being treated as individuals, the the loss of share compensation, the growth of hedge funds, a depression and recession that helped increase the share of wealth the few have over the majority, and wages that have not matched inflation.

People lost their homes and life savings multiple times while corporations were propped up.

I'm sorry, but illegal immigration is just another system of the larger problem.

Unless you believe deporting all illegal immigrants will restore the middle class. :duck:

If Dumb and Ass each have $100 to spend at the mall and 10 people enter the room who ask to borrow money so they can go shopping too, upon sharing their $100, do Dumb and Ass:

A) have more money
B) have less money
C) have the same amount as before
D) :duck:

It’s real simple :stopitslime:

@MaliktheRapper jumped in here like Illegal immigrants aren't working paycheck to paycheck jobs their damn self. :Camfrancis:

fukk em :yeshrug:

The country broke. You pay for them. Bernie supports my views. Trump and the right obviously supports my views. Obama deported them nikkas like it was a sport and Hilary is chilly on the subject at best. Most of the politicians you probably stan don’t agree with you. Maybe they don’t agree with the inhumane treatment they received which ain’t cool but they still don’t agree with you and your open border steeze :dame:
