chuck D and KRS provided social commentary as well as anyone...
they are some of the best hip hop has to offer in terms of content.

you focus on "spitting" when rapper legacies are being discussed. LL legacy is for most part being a ladies man. it is what it is, I like LL nh, and bump lots of tracks of his, but his catalog is extremely uneven when matched against someone like KRS, whose catalog is one of the best EVER.

LL doesnt have a cult hip hop classic on par with criminal minded or it takes a nation of millions...

and KRS being less of a spitta......is also prolly an exaggeration. KRS is a BEAST live and in freestyles....he'll bring that off the top heat and crush you.

And you're just focusing on social commentary.

LL was waaaay more multifaceted then U are given him credit for while besides PE's debut Chuck was pretty much focused on social commentary.

KRS is the Scottie Pippen of rap, Jack of all Trades, master of none. Well they did master one thing...Pippen with D and KRS with Live on stage.

LL was a beast from 85 to 90. Only overall EMCEE who was better than him in the 80s was the God EMCEE...Rakim Allah:umad:

revisionsist history at it's finest. LL DEF altered the entire scope of the culture...good and bad. Many EMCEEEs did and LL was one of them. And he did as a teen. Made a lot older EMCEEs :umad: cuzz he was changing the game!!

it was a longer sustsined play on oldschool power vocals for a whole verse, though.

that is what you are not getting,....

LL Cool J - I'm That Type Of Guy - YouTube

Boogie Down Productions - You Must Learn - YouTube

thats the thing. on that same album LL had "why do think they call it dope"

if we replaced all LL's singles with the raw records that he actually had, this would be a different convo

i picked KRS but i cant let yall play LL like he was wack or something

LL all day for me. Krs got the soci-political content and undeniable mic pressence though.

no Im not, all Im saying is content has HUGE importance that influences your legacy. no one cares that Cube wasnt the most intricate lyricist, but his content is what cements his legacy, for example.

KRS is the Scottie Pippen of rap, Jack of all Trades, master of none.
KRS is master of none ? :merchant: :childplease:
nikka u done lost your goddam mind.

lol this is in the era where KRS was a fukking beast and put out at least two albums better than LLs right ? :heh: the same era where bridge is over came out, and still reigns as the ultimate diss track that still is powerful to this day

LL was never actually considered better by heads at the time or any other relevant time either. you can go ahead and discuss "multifacetism" but the fact remains you haven't even made a point how he is that....all you do is speak in some vague points...
