chuck D and KRS provided social commentary as well as anyone...
they are some of the best hip hop has to offer in terms of content.
you focus on "spitting" when rapper legacies are being discussed. LL legacy is for most part being a ladies man. it is what it is, I like LL nh, and bump lots of tracks of his, but his catalog is extremely uneven when matched against someone like KRS, whose catalog is one of the best EVER.
LL doesnt have a cult hip hop classic on par with criminal minded or it takes a nation of millions...
and KRS being less of a spitta......is also prolly an exaggeration. KRS is a BEAST live and in freestyles....he'll bring that off the top heat and crush you.
And you're just focusing on social commentary.
LL was waaaay more multifaceted then U are given him credit for while besides PE's debut Chuck was pretty much focused on social commentary.
KRS is the Scottie Pippen of rap, Jack of all Trades, master of none. Well they did master one thing...Pippen with D and KRS with Live on stage.
LL was a beast from 85 to 90. Only overall EMCEE who was better than him in the 80s was the God EMCEE...Rakim Allah

was dropping fire like this...
L has Radio/BAD/Mama Said. It Takes A Nation of Millions is the Greatest Hip Hop album though!!
the same era where bridge is over came out, and still reigns as the ultimate diss track that still is powerful to this day
