Right.
His music after And Then There Was X wasn't that great to begin with
1.He gave X his biggest recordsWhat I took from this thread that’s wrong as fukk.
1.Swizz Beatz made DMX. Even tho nobody would know who Swizz is without DMX
2.DMX wasn’t poppin before Ruff Ryders anthem. Even tho he had a hit single and did a million hot features months leading up to it.
3.The Lox and Mase weren’t Ruff Ryders before Bad Boy even tho Dame Grease, PK and an unknown Swizz are on they first album with Swizz producing one of the best solo Jadakiss songs in his career on that same album. Which are the same producers who produced the whole DMX first album.
4.Dame Grease can’t make hits. Even tho he produced “If You Think I’m Jiggy”, “We’ll Always Love Big Poppa” and “Get At Me Dog” all hit records that released before IDAHIH dropped.
LMAOI just can’t remember a time in 98 where Silk The Shocker or Mystikal being more poppin than DMX. Lol. Before or after RR Anthem. X was being looked at as the next PAC n shyt. nikkas was actin like dude was NEEDED in the rap game. Not just wanted.
nikka “Well Always Love Big Poppa” is the only REAL Biggie tribute. fukk outta here nikka. That shyt was an actual dope heartfelt tribute vs that fukkin cash grab insincere ass “I’ll Be Missing You”. And “If You Think I’m Jiggy” was a hit record nikka whether u liked it or not. And u a straight clown for tryna shyt on “Get At Me Dog”. fukk kinda DMX fan shyts on “Get At Me Dog”. U COULDNT have been a day one fan of this nikka. I REFUSE to believe it. U the same nikka that said “And Then There Was X.” is better than “Its Dark And Hell Is Hot”. I don’t see u echoing them sentiments in this thread cause u would get straight shytted on. U not a day one X fan nikka. U started fukkin wit X late. DMX or Swizz prolly wouldn’t agree wit the majority of the shyt u saying either.1.He gave X his biggest records
2.No one is saying that. We're saying despite having a buzz,he was not a huge star or household name till RR anthem, which is accurate.
3.Them nikkas was repping shiny suit, man. Everyone knows lox were under RR management.
However they changed their name, wore shiny suits and made jiggy music in order to be a bad boy. No one outside the east knew of RR till X showed up because he was the first to to really rep from them. If they was really Ruff ryders, they wouldnt have had to campaign to get free of badboy and give up 3 million plus publishing to to become Real Ruff Ryders. And who cares if dame and swizz were on the lox album, clearly they didnt produce the lion's share. The bad boy team did.
4.NEWS FLASH,them songs wasnt and still aint shyt. This nikka brought up IF YOU THINK I'M JIGGY as if people really loved that song, lmao. We'll always love you poppa aint shyt and neither is GET AT ME DOG
Lmaonikka “Well Always Love Big Poppa” is the only REAL Biggie tribute. fukk outta here nikka. Sold the most, wonder whyand then there was x wasnt even that good
its dark and hell is hot is dmx best album by far (Number 6 on my goat list) and i consider it a masterpiece it was great that swizz only got one beat otherwise it wouldnt have been. On flesh of my flesh swizz had some shyt for example like keep your shyt the hardest and omen but as a whole nothing touches the first masterpiece tho fukk record sales.Sold the most, wonder why

by the time he dropped he 4th album. he was about to turn 31 with 3 albums and a couple more albums worth of guest appearances, and a gang of underground material.
show me another rapper who continued to put out timeless-esque music at that point of their careers after such a high peak.
don't give me any mid-card drifters that never dropped any consensus classic LPs and/or were never main eventers.
the only example we have is jay-z from '96-04, but he had to shark & play politics to accomplish that.
"X gonna give it to ya" was bigger than all of those.
yea what i said is facts>>>>>>>>>>>>>ur opinionfacts > opinions
What u THINK is better,is opinion.yea what i said is facts>>>>>>>>>>>>>ur opinion
Opinion is you saying something is better cuz it sold more wen most ppl would agree its dark and hell is hot is dmx best album. What u THINK is better,is opinion.
What record sold the most is facts.
It's of my opinion that the first three albums are classic impact wise and I appreciate them equally.
Nothing you said, changes anything, but i'll entertain it,so i can continue to take you to school.1.Opinion is you saying something is better cuz it sold more 2.wen most ppl would agree its dark and hell is hot is dmx best album.
3.i always felt like record sales dont define a album, if its classic and it sold alot it def adds to it for example doggystyle but thats a classic. and then there was x isnt tho it sold alot cuz of singles but it aint touching the first one.4 i always take quality over what the shyt sold. u could sell alot of copies just because of your single and that doesnt define a album to real hip hop fans.
