I don't know about that last part ...we don't know what God has in store for us if we were perfect sinnless people who would live forever. Muslims to my understanding follow the old testament, but they also know the new testament; but they don't believe that Jesus was the Son of God sent to save the World. Muslims do believe the Jesus was a prophet sent by God the same as they believe that the Muhammad was a prophet.

Close, yes Muslims believe that Jesus (Issa) pbuh was a prophet and he is beloved to Muslims.

Muslims also believe in the 4 books given to the 4 messengers. Moses (pbuh) and the Tawrat (some people relate it to the old testament), David (pbuh) and the Zaboor (scholars relate this to the Psalms), Jesus (pbuh) and the Injiil (Gospel but not as we know it i.e. the gospel of Matthew, Mark Luke and John) and finally Muhammad (pbuh) and the Quran.

These were the messengers but it's not to say that they were the only prophets, there were very many and we don't know all their names.
