They'll give him the max contract as I believe he's extension eligible after the season season is over. Now whether he remains with the team for the duration of that contract remains to be seen. They kinda have to keep him for now as I think people and the league will step in as it will be even more obvious of the tank job they are trying to pull.

Yea they''ll sign him to a max extension and probably move him....League cant do anything as long as they reach the salary floor...

My Pops Forever RIP
So basically OKC is not competing for anything in the next 5 years and Shai should ask for a trade....
Not what I’m saying at all. In fact, surrounding Shai with good cheap bench production benefits him because normally those guys tend to cost 10x more to teams like OKC. Getting a bunch of MLE guys hampers their chances of adding other stars

I dont thnk its the MLE thats hampering that...Shai im sure at some point in the next few years wants to start playing in the playoffs and being recognized as an all star, impossible to do in that situation,so i wouldnt say anything of this benefits him much....

He had to sign it to get his foot in the door....
:gucci: this a retarded logic they gave him a chance ( foot in the door) and offered him a deal.

And the truth is, the Moses Browns of the world are the guys you either use as incentive in a trade for a bigger star or really cheap bench production which if you’re not in a buyout destination, doesn’t exist.
Sixers gave covington a chance and it worked out for both. This been happening

I seriously want to see if they actually know what they're doing and have a plan with the players they have now and the 100 picks they have. Remember OKC hit the ground running from day one with Durant and Westbrook and just now finally coming up on a rebuild after all these years. I can see alot of confusion over there coming up as to what's next for them and the direction they need to go in

It took them 2 years with KD and Russ to start making the playoffs...They could be in the same position 5 years from now with nothing to show for it but alot of picks...

I know, but they are still doing what other teams should do. If you have a team with 2+ plus max contracts, then you find as many cheap players and production as you can to fill out the roster.

That's why a lot of teams are in a fukked up situation now as they have no picks and no players in development than can help out on the roster. The Clippers come to mind.
You haven't been watching any Clipper games cause the talk of the team as of late is second year player Terance Mann who's damn near becoming the heart and soul of the team. Plus we have youth in Zu, Kennard, Coffey, Oturu, Jay Scubb(injured) plus our first round pick in this upcoming draft and well as Ballmer buying a second round pick which he does pretty much every draft. Dispite the PG trade we're as bad as people make us out to be

They'll be fine, I don't see any confusion

Presti didn't force him to take the contract. Lu Dort did it on his own. If they meet his asking price the next go around, then he should stay.

Of course he didnt force him but he he gave him a 360 NBA contract because he was out of the league and had no other options....Nobody signs guys off the scrap heap to 4 year deals,at best you get a non guaranteed 2 way bullshyt for a year or 2...so no he wasnt forced in reality but he gave him a shyt deal knowing he was at a dead end....and i hope Dort gets paid and leaves that shyt organization.
