Lupe Fiasco vs Elzhi

Lupe. Off his older albums alone. I just don't like his new "swaggish" flow. It's like he's trying too hard to be funny or cool, it throws off the impact of his lyrics. I think he's partiall y doing it to be ironic, or mocking these new rappers. Still, he needs to knock it off and just rap- no extras.

Lupe is my favorite, but I don't think he's GOD or the BEST when it comes to making music. I've heard plenty of Skyzoo's work over the years. He's not on the same level as Lupe Fiasco, period.

And yeah, no need to go back and forth cause even bringing up Skyzoo is a joke to begin with. Everybody knows there's no category in rap or song making ability that Skyzoo is superior to than Lupe Fiasco in.

Skyzoo is legit nice and I'd argue he's nicer than Lupe.

Dudes really, really dope and has that slick talk down to a science .


Also his production in general > Lupe's.

Nah I heard Elzmatic and a few other joints. My bro tried to put me on him a while back. He got some nice songs. My favorite is this Pete Rock remix he did. But NONE of his records is touching the Cool, sorry

At least with Elzhi and LUPE, these nikkas are LEGENDS of the Midwest and of their respective cities. They impacted their region... Lupe's skill has impacted far more than just his area/Chicago as a ton of nikkas who still fukk with him aren't even from Chicago.

Skyzoo is a good rapper from NYC that isn't close to legendary status at anything

Not a huge Lupe fan and not a connaisseur of El's material but my ears tell me that El is more well rounded and easier to get into.I like Lupe's attention to detail and conceptual thinking when making records but it does less for the soul then when El commits to a concept or evokes a feeling.Simply put Lupe feels more technical but El makes you feel more so i have to go with El but i'll be the first to say that i'm not an expert on both
