Name some women lupe dated/fukked/flirted with.

He lacks true experience, he's on the outside looking in.

Look how he went in on " Bones "

:russ:

Look how he tried to ruin strip clubs

" Who got a baby in here with these strippers? She's two weeks pregnant Didn't even know, he's dancing with her, damn"

:upsetfavre:
He HAD to hook up with Nikki Jean at least once :ohlawd:

If not then :dame:

Besides, it's still #HOH season, Lupe just playing the game :myman:

Naw Lupe doesn't lack anything. in all honesty he top 10 right now, arguably top 5.

He's miles ahead of Kendrick Lamar overhyped/overrated ass
His only comp (Lyrical/metaphorically) is going to be nikkas like eLZhi.

Lupe doesn't get the light he deserves because he bucked the music label and forced them to allow him creative control. his Lazer albums was the turning point in which he became "swept under the rug" material.

On his last Sway interview he said he only wrote the first 20-24 bars on Mural then he basically just blacked out and started snapping without writing, take a break, come back later and freestyle another 16-20 bars until the song was done

that's fukking ridiculous considering how crazy the metaphor and entendres were on that song :merchant:

He lacks a lot to me, as an MC he has a lot of room for improvement, his delivery can be off sometimes. At times his voice and vocal presence is lacking too.

I think he lacks lyrical potency at times and consistency. I don't think of him as solid, I think he can be too conformative and also pseudo intellectual and pseudo complex with his lyrics and content at time, like someone said a college student instead of a full blown master. I think he gets gassed up by some of his stans that want to sound intelligent but when you deal with someone who actually breaks the ish down some of it is wack and extremely remedial. Being abstract is a style but within that style you have to be potent with the delivery, flow and lyrics to make it work. That's some of the things he lacks to me.

Also in terms of discography I think he's lacking great albums, replay value, songwriting, he's lacking a lot in many areas.

That being said he has some good songs and he can be a good lyricist and MC on his day but to me that day is too irregular for me to rank him that highly, not a fan of the path he's been on recently either, even though some people shytted on Lasers and understandably so in some regards it had a few songs that were really dope and if Lupe had a similar lane to the pinnacle of the material on there regularly I could rank him higher. I still hope he releases some solid more solid material and fulfills the potential he has, but I do fear for the path he's on because it's limited and getting gassed by a small hardcore fan base I don't think overall will help him, it will feed them but Lupe was a big artist at 1 point and a lot of people liked the ish on his 1st 2 albums so many people know him, he seems to be alienating those fans in some ways and creating for a small core fan base who like puzzle raps and going on Rap Genius to read about obscure references. I think there's a balance that can be achieved, infact I know there is, where he could satisfy both, I hope he does it, we'll see. Am willing to listen...
Basically, he's too arrogant to be more artistic about it.

Its precisely why I can't hail "conscious lyricism" as good music.

Add Aesop Rock to that list as well. If ya'll seriously think that Lupe is super hard to understand, try breaking down some of Aesop Rock's songs.
I hope yall aint repping Aesop Rock now but were nowhere to be found when he dropped one of the best albums this year :dame:

his first two albums were the shyt and didn't lack anything.
Nah, y'all overrate the shyt out those albums. They were nice albums they weren't flawless, and they're not true classic albums.

Crossover appeal.

But he doesn't give a fukk about that so it doesn't really matter.

Also...Food and Liquor is a CLASSIC.

However, The Cool is better than Melatonin when you need to get a good 8 hours of sleep

Going over his first two albums there was strong stuff, but the only 2 songs that had that feeling that you wanna listen to over and over were Real and Put You On Game. Also Hip Hop Saved My Life is really good but mostly for the chick on hook. That song was my vacation track in 2009 in the south of france. Should have kept in that lane.
