A voice of reason.

The nerve of these cats who have spent every second for the last 10 years on internet forums acting authentic trying to speak down from their rocking chairs on Mount Olympus about the skreets. Back in my day :deadhorse::old: we didnt post up on the net cuz we were too busy posted up outside on the stoop. Couldnt sit up in the house and play videogames all day cuz there was life outside. Kids couldnt walk around with $300 phones and $200 sneakers cuz they would get taken. These cats are perpetually stuck in 1987 like an old Japanese soldier on an island in the pacific ocean unaware that WWII is over. The Japanese lost.

i hear you man this makes two of us dude because im like to simply put it if u out in the streets u not gonna be on the net bottom line. to me that is not gangster at all freshaig acts like he is some straight up killer if u let him tell it but if u a killer u not gonna be on the net bottom line either way u slice it it is dumb at the end of the day especially if u black why glorify it it makes no sense imo that is why i said u in them smh.

Its funny how the internet even in 2013 is still a mythical thing to many people comments like 'His only popular on the internet' never made sense to me, its 2013 and the internet is one of the biggest platforms in the world.

If you think drug dealers, killers etc don't be on facebook and twitter etc, then you're a fool.

The folks who are living in a bubble are the ones who can't see the transition that's taking place. When they do manage to see through the bubble they think:

'why is everything so soft?'
''why dont these rappers rap more about sex drugs money and guns'
'these rappers are too happy and friendly and aren't reinforcing the blaxploitation minstrel show imagery that flooded rap at the end of the crack era.'

Obviously, these folks arent very good at math, otherwise they would be able to understand something as simple as statistics and update their outdated worldviews to incorporate what's blatantly obvious to average person.

Crime is down. It's down drastically. The sky is not falling, Chicken Little. It'll be okay.

you also,..fail to realize, that this is a penal colony and you have no actualized experience in the street at all.
just, the fact your actual dialogue consists of no real empirical knowledge, or experience in the streets says this.

on the real...
they have an entire forum that publically received a higher rating than even our own forum.
with many more sites completely similar to it in content and direction.
yet, nikkaz, trying to say no one from different experiences and social stratrums are not on the net.
you know these nikkaz, really not in the street for real.

NY brought that on themselves

NY nikkas use to pop all that shyt looking down on nikkas from anywhere else
but when nikkas from NY came with that sweet shyt (cam wearing pink, nikkas false flagging, all that hipster fakkit shyt) they let that slide

so cats fro other areas seen that shyt
and lost the respect

now NY is just seen as corny dressing ass mafukkas who make lame music

the South and West coast always had respect and love for each other so we said fukk them NY nikkas

but at this point

it would be good for everyone is NY was back on point

Looks at the people walking in the background of this video :mjpls:

LOL!

I can't I can't I can't!!!

Look at all them goddamn yuppies in the background of this video. What a fukking joke.

"What is that big scary black man doing in front of that camera...oh...one of those rap videos...lets see if we can get Nathan, Ethan and Meegan in the shot!"

Bed-Stuy's not as gentrified as Williamsburg or Bushwick, but it's gentrified nonetheless.

Say what you want but the squares like Drake ain't better for the development of blacks than the NY rappers of the 90's. People like to act like the likes of Drake don't talk about crimes in their bars etc. The only difference is that they lack the hunger and lack the sense of injustice that many of these 90 Ny rappers had growing up, say what you want but i a soc called angry black man is better for us than a docile naive one, Malcolm x was from the streets just like Maino, just like Jadakiss, in a sense this is what rap has lost with the pushing to the forefront of a bunch of hollywood made suburban acts, its lost its edge and its lost its revolutionary spirit, no one is saying that everything should be like the 90's, but the likes of Wu Tang Clan and Nas, street rappers who offered a political/social insight may never be at the forefront of mainstream rap again.

All we have is a bunch of jiving dancing c00ns.

LOL @ you comparing the likes of Jadakiss and Maino to Malcolm X when talking about the streets. Jada and Maino talk about crime against other blacks in the first person view and they don't talk about progression to help other black folk. Malcolm is light years ahead of any rapper and was a selfless man.

SMH @ you talking about how rap was socially conscious. I remember back in the day when the likes of P.E. got called out for being "too preachy" for speaking out against racism and black on black crime-on Menace II Society. :stopitslime: @ the dudes acting like that many of the old rappers didn't contribute to the minstrel show of the super thug era where black folk were marketed as animals and record labels degraded us subconsciously to the lowest level of life.

How come some of the old heads never mention about wanting another Public Enemy or a Black Moon, but yearn for another Jigga or Ma$e? Hell, a lot of the oldheads shyt on Nas on a regular basis and talk against socially conscious tracks.
