Aggression? I'm :why: at that reading of my posts.

You, and the majority of this board are either Lj worshippers or just people who refuse to think for themselves, so the media does it for you. You don't hold Lj or any other player to the same standards that you hold 'Melo to, because the media doesn't. You assumed the worst of a player who has played hard for what you claim is your favorite team. There's nothing he's done that says he wants attention from this. The mere fact that he opted out from a trash franchise has been twist by you and others that he wants attention. How ridiculous. It's so pathetic how most of you throw your franchise player under the bus for other players that couldn't save you if their lives depended on it (Lj).

You think a guy that never shows up in the Finals, gets punked by short players, and gets punked by players some coaches won't even put on 'Melo (Kawhi) is gonna save you? A guy who got stomped by the AARP club and disappeared in most quarters, even on a stacked team is supposed to save whoever NY brings? Please (smh)! No! He'll just lose on anything less than a super-stacked team, while playing like he's 5 feet tall and everyone will make many excuses for him. Fraudulent Durant, who gets punked by short players, can't win with Westbrook, and 40% 3pt shooters, and the best version of Harden?

I hope 'Melo takes the max because it's not his job to save the owner from paying the necessary luxury tax for going over the cap to build a contender for his franchise. It's the players job to play at a high level; 'Melo's done that his entire career, which is why teams are throwing as much money at him as they can.

And no, this is not aggression. It's just me being direct.

go back and read my posts...

I've said since mid season that if I were close to Melo, I would tell him to go some where else because this pisspoor organization doesn't dererve him. I have also said on this site numerous times that NO SELF RESPECTING Knicks fan could be upset w/ Melo leaving. He put the city on his back, especially this year with no one else showing heart.

Lebron James worshipper? Just...stop. I've only recently started respect LJ. He was good in my book after he put the NBA on notice that he didn't support the Organization mulling their feet in the sterling matter.

However, I have also said that Melo actually is a safer choice 5 years from now than LJ because of his offensive tools not being tied to athleticism. Melo will be a Z-Bo, hustling for rebounds but w/ a greater offensive arsenal by the time he's 35. LJ, he'll still be really good, but when power & speed to the rim is degraded a bit, who knows, elite defenders may render him somewhat of a liability.

I am a big fam of Melo, my issue was the postering of the free agents this year basically freezing the NBA. I was worried that my team would miss out on salvaging the rest of the offseason if Melo takes this long & then decides to leave. Had Melo left and went to Chicago 1 week less than the time he took, I would salute him still. I was anxious about recovering from basically being frozen to make moves and then Melo signing some where else.

It's a business, as much as I love Melo. I don't know what Phil knows, but from what I could see, Melo wasn't leaning toward the Knicks at the time. So...I wanted Phil to give him an ultimatum, respectfully given.

fukk is wrong about that? And on top of that, how could you say, in effect, "you're a bad fan" for that?

It was said by everyone, never before has free agency been held hostage by a player or two players like that. So don't come at me with "teams should be used to this".

shyt is chess, not checkers.

:upsetfavre:Got me sounding as long winded as you...shiiieeet.

Damn, I just realized I still get heated when someone tells me I am not a real fan. Haven't had to justify myself regarding the Knicks since I was in High School.
Thanks for the nostalgia @ZemaPromos :rudy:

If I falsely accused you, I am sorry. I do that sometimes because I see so much 'Melo trolling, Lj worship, and people not applying the same standards to other players that they do to 'Melo.

My thing is, the only option 'Melo gets for taking this long is that he wants attention. It can't be that he had a lot of info to weigh, his decision is for a long time, it's his last big contract, his decision impacts more than just himself and NY fans, etc (see the interview below). Just because you guys were waiting on him, doesn't mean he's had enough time to weigh all that he's had to weigh. Phil apparently gave him this long because he got the impression from 'Melo that he would stay if they weren't gonna try to cheat him. Phil has shown that he's a no-nonsense type of guy, knows how to win, and knows what he's doing as president. He's earned the benefit of the doubt for waiting on NY's franchise player.

Just saw the second summer league game and it was good seeing those young dudes playing transition defense. Last year that was the secret to getting easy points against the knicks all season.

Early, No Chill, Larkin looked good as Roleplayers and off the bench dudes.

Hardaway is a legit gunner, even with his lack of defensive skill the knicks got to give that kid minutes come the regular season. Even if just to prep him to be that future 6th man.
