These kinds of situations force the relatively healthy partner into a caretaker role managing the mental, and emotional states of their partner. The affected person is essentially a child you cannot have responsible, adult conversations with due to them getting easily triggered, emotional, and uncooperative.

Like others have said, he’s a stay-at-home dad. Unless he’s joining book clubs and doing social events, or hanging with male family he will feel like that TEMPORARILY.
Once kids get older and start getting into shyt, then he will be fine.
But honestly, he could get into shyt now. Go to gym, join fitness clubs, join automotive or carpenter classes. Go out to watch the games or something
He’s lonely because he doesn’t do anything socially. It’s not like he’s a single dad. Plus he has 2 toddlers who will take up most of his time at the moment
