-These comments are fukking stupid. There's no reason to assume he'll be dead in a week cause he's not vaxxed. Or that he's not otherwise reasonably healthy or some random patient with the vax will live for decades.

There's a list of people waiting to get transplants. They can't give you a heart when you can end up dead a week later. Another patient who is vaccinated can get that heart and live decades. There's nothing unfair about this. I'm sure the person who got moved up in his place and their family will appreciate his sacrifice. They should present him with his Darwin Award at his funeral
Both posts are operating under the assumption that the vaccine better enables your immune system to fight off the disease.
Both presented hypothetical situations with intentions of illustrating his lower chances of survival compared otherwise healthy but vaccinated people.
You might want to say they're exaggerating about being dead after a week, but is it really farfetched when you consider his immune will be at its weakest right after the surgery due to the immunosuppresants and hospitals are a hotbed for covid right now
, which others have pointed out.

I repeated those parts in my comment cause that's literally all I was referring to, those specific parts. I was saying it's stupid to assume he'd die within 2 weeks unvaxxed when he might not even catch it & a random vaxxed person would just live for decades when they could easily die. That's it, nothing big & I acknowledged it was all hypothetical.
-Only thing threw me off was people jumping in talking about shyt that wasn't even on topic.

People remain unvaxxed for several vastly differing reasons. His may be religious in which case he'd probably wish to return to his maker 'untainted.'
The vaccine is against his principles so I guess the heart transplant isn’t important then either
The issue isn’t whether he has COVID at the time of the surgery, it’s the period after the surgery where his body will effectively not have any immune system.
