My man had that crackhead tunnel vision:mjlol:

Mvp:blessed:

Kawhi Leonard added a signature sequence to his MVP candidacy during Monday's 112-110 victory over the Houston Rockets before the NBA reportedly selected him for a random drug test in the immediate aftermath, per Michael C. Wright of ESPN.

Leonard hit a go-ahead three and blocked fellow MVP candidate James Harden within the final 30 seconds of the dramatic win on his way to 39 points, six rebounds, five assists, two blocks and a steal.

While the timing may seem suspicious following such a superhuman performance, Wright clarified the NBA randomly tests several times throughout the year, with four coming during the season.

Wright stressed Leonard "would've been tested if he had gone 0 for 40," quelling any lingering suspicion about the NBA's decision.

With that question answered, attention can turn to whether Leonard will win the MVP over the likes of Harden, Russell Westbrook and LeBron James. Josh Eberley of Hoop magazine noted Leonard's thriving against elite competition with MVP-caliber play Monday was business as usual this season:

The Spurs leader is averaging 26.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.9 steals per game while shooting 48.7 percent from the field and 38.5 percent from deep.

A two-time Defensive Player of the Year, he guards the opponent's best player on a nightly basis, as he did with Harden on Monday. Opponents are shooting 1.6 percent worse than their normal averages when he guards them this season, per NBA.com.

With that defensive dominance in mind, teammate Pau Gasol discussed Leonard's MVP candidacy after Monday's contest, per Tim Cato of SB Nation, "He's contributing on both ends of the floor as opposed to a guy who just scores 30 PPG and that is it."

Leonard certainly did just that against the Rockets with the game on the line, even if he had to prove he was clean after the victory.

Kawhi & Green are great defensive players. However,in all fairness to Lebron,he has more responsibility on offense than the two aforementioned players.Lebron is averaging 16 more pts than green on higher shooting percentages across the board.Lebron is averaging 2 more reb and 5 more asst than Kawhi on higher fg & 3ptfg shooting.Lebron is also the primary ball handler/facilitator for the cavs.

And he plays more minutes than Kawhi and being the primary ball handler is more on Bron being ball dominant than him HAVING to be the primary defender. Kawhi can score more efficiently off the ball.

If Kawhi aint putting up damn near 30, we usually struggle to win. Bron can have a low 20's scoring game and Kyrie can carry the "slack".

You guys know Kawhi was one of the biggest snubs in McDonald's All-American history? BS rankings, didn't play for a powerhouse, but was still L.A. Player of the Year and Cali Mr. Basketball. All of the Cali schools overlooked him too, winding up at San Diego State. Even then they said he was one of the most versatile player ever, but the media that mattered overlooked him. Sounds familiar? No way he's getting MVP but I hope he's NBA First Team. I got West, Harden, Bron, Kawhi and Green might get the last slot if he is DPOY.

How is that stupid when Dedmon has arguably been their best defender this year

Keep in mind dude is only 25, not even in his basketball prime yet.

Around 27-28 is when they put everything together. That's about 3 more years of growth for him, can't imagine how great he'll be then.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
His progression is the most I ever seen in a player, at least offensively. No weakness in his game, maybe if you nitpick maybe his handle which is above average anyway.

I agree, he's had the biggest jump in skills from a player that I have ever seen, dude was a raw undersized PF coming into the NBA that couldn't shoot or dribble. Everyone thought he'd just be a really good 3 & D guy, there was nothing that hinted at this type of progression.
