If you have a job that micromanages you to that extent you already lost

Find better organizations.....if you were at the office would you need to ask permission to take a piss?

People acting like fukking church mice.....

If you are a frontline, customer facing/dealing employee, then there is no way to realistically finesse anything.

My first job was a call center and piss breaks were regulated....which motivated me to finish my degree in Comp Engineering....

I can't imagine having my shift really tracked like that...

Ensuring you move your mouse every 5 minutes or so isn’t that big of a task. If you’re going to finesse - leave yourself room for plausible deniability and minimize the number of explanations you’d have to provide :yeshrug:

I be on my PS5 all day working from home, and I know how to make it look as though I’ve been working.
Yup.

Keep my sound turned up so I can hear any email dings or messages from Teams, phone calls etc.

Check every 10 or so minutes. Usually not needed but when things are hella slow :russ:

I wonder if using console commands works? Like inputting code on your Google Chrome page. Hitting CTRL+SHIFT+I....input the command to auto refresh every five minutes. Not sure if that works but.....:manny:

Find any web course and run the auto-play feature in the web browser and that will keep the session active...

Be afraid to set the simplest boundaries breh

That same workplace wouldn't think twice of asking you to work late without compensation

Where do you y’all work I could use some advice please on what I gotta study or to do what you do. About to go to this bytch ass 10 hour shift at Amazon in 2 hours :mjcry:. About to turn 23 ina few months can’t keep doing this shyt….

Dont get it twisted. I don't work fully remote. Its hybrid. I go in the office 3 days, home for 2 days. Don't want to dox myself but, I work in back office operations for a big bank. It's good for right now.

Get a degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics (in that order of importance) and you'll have alot of opportunities (Corporate Fin (Treasury/FP&A/Controller), Big 4 Accounting, Operations, Public/Government roles, IBD possibly etc.). I majored in Econ. That's how i ended up on my path. Currently in grad school now to transition to where I want to go next. A good amount of finance/banking jobs are gonna have schedules like this :yeshrug: (unless you work for an investment bank or something)

If you're interested in coding and programming, then do that. Alot of posters in here working in tech. If you go that route, you don't have to get a degree if you don't want. You can get by with certs and self study. I don't know much about it so maybe they'll chime in :yeshrug:

:win: I’m still WFH taking 2 hour lunches, watching TV and laying on the couch most of the time. I get my real work done from 8-12 and then break out for lunch, come back around 2 and basically play clean up and prepare my schedule for the next day. I ain’t worried about a thing. I manage 150+ corporate accounts as the Point of Contact for the clients, as long as I keep them happy, my job does not bother me.

Doing too much. When I work from home, I know my computer goes to sleep every 15 minutes.

So I just play Madden, 2K, watch HBO or whatever and make sure I move that mouse every 15 minutes or so.

Aint been caught yet :russ:
Open up word and add a weighted object to any key. You won't need to worry about touching the mouse every few minutes again.

I use my Panasonic wireless trimmer typically placed on the key y and go on about my business.

I transitioned to an internal IT position after being at a micromanaged hell while working as a helpdesk agent, might be the best thing I ever did.

60 percent pay raise, Im salaried now and I have to come to the office and travel to different sites but ain’t no one on my damn back tracking every second of the day. I get to leave early if I’m caught up on work without checking with anybody. My phone went from ringing 30 to 40 times a day to 2 or 3 times, this shyt is beautiful :wow:

Do employees have to consent to being watched on camera or does the security team automatically do it? I know it's the companies laptop but damn that is like micro-managing to the max. :francis:
Have one of those charging stations so the laptop is closed but everything shows up on a bigger flat screen monitor WITHOUT a camera.

Used to put ducktape on my laptop camera. If they "spy", they ain't seeing shyt.

Most companies will spy when they wanna fire you and are looking to build a mountain of evidence.

If your an average/Lackluster employee, you would do better in the office where you can small talk and bullshyt your way throughout the day without getting much done..

And Quite frankly move up just off being in the proximity...

The wfh animal is gonna shake the bad employees out who got away with bullshyt in the office and translated that to their house...

Companies are questioning any and everything because they got empty offices they paying for...
