Read the first chapter of this and this shyt was creepy af :picard: color me intrigued :ehh:

Amane looks a lot older than 4 years old where she ends up. Considering Akane does mention a specific date where Amane should be 4 years old, so it is leaving me a bit puzzled. Perhaps it has something about him using the clock to go into the past? Though this could just be a mistake on Akane's end, though. I do think at this point it has to be Tsukasa who is the cat. Honestly, the Cat might be the truest form of Tsukasa that we have seen so far.

I always felt that Akane has wanted to help Nene in the past, but her affiliation with Hanako made that hard. As he really does not like supernaturals. Also, him being affiliated with the clock keepers limited what he could do too. Granted, his whole relationship with Akane is really toxic. But the pep talk was great because she needed to know her efforts didn't go for nothing. Nene is an idiot, but she is a lot tougher than she is given credit for. You really have seen it since the Picture-Perfect arc.

As we see the love the brother and sister show each other. It is very interesting to learn that the Prince had an older brother. But unlike him, his older brother wasn't gifted. It is sad that he was discouraged from interacting with his brother. Simply of the jealously that older brother would have.

That's actually a good question. Berserk is more demonic and more "frustrating" because you know the source of it all and why everything went to shyt. Also, you basically follow the MC getting emotionally tortured time and time again.

The Abyss, on the other hand, has little children having to deal with all the fukked up shyt that happens down there. It's more about the world around them being fukked up and sad as shyt, it's a little less sadistic than Berserk but man, having those kids being the ones witnessing and living all of that makes me feel some type of way :mjcry: :mjcry:
Do you know where the anime ends at in the manga rn? I been wanting to hold out for the next anime season but I'm far too curious and would rather catch up after I finish getting caught up in Jojolands

The 2nd season finished very closely to where the manga was. That lead to the author to come out and commit to a more regular schedule -he basically does 1 volume per year with complete freedom as to when to publish- because he realized the anime was getting popular and got the message that there's demand for the series :pachaha:

After that announcement I legit didn't touch anything Made in Abyss related because I want to wait 1-2 years for at least 2 volumes to be out there to read :mjcry:

There's Season 1, the film "Dawn of the Deep Soul" (which covers the chapters of the manga between season 1 and 2, it's a "must watch" in every sense of the word) and Season 2.

Go in breh, it's a powerful fukking series.

I do like the connection that was building up with Rudo & Amo. Given that Rudo's gloves & Amo's boots have the same mark, they come from the same place. Given that the angels that Amo calls gave it to her and Rudo's father gave him the gloves creates the connection. Although given that they killed Rudo's father, it doesn't make sense. Unless the one in the flashback was Rudo's father maybe? Sadly, more pain for Amo awaits.

As the mention of trash falling from the Sphere, there is also what Rudo saw when he was throws away. But what was it exactly? Perhaps it has to do with the Angels that Amo mentioned?

H4Wl3m4.jpeg

When the base gets attacked by the attackers, the series does an interesting job at separating they are attackers, but if not, they are supporters. Semiu is the type that can't really fight trash beasts. Hell, her fighting skills are just pure skill, but of course, her glasses are an invaluable part of her skill set. Though I am curious if someone would become a defender if so to protect their object

The volume ends on an interesting note. The Raider's new boss wants Rudo. Seems he is aware of what happened to Rudo. He has a point in many ways, since among the Cleaners it seems Rudo has the most agency against them. Although the boss could very well be trying to manipulate him. Curious how that goes.

Caught up with Ultimate Exorcist Kiyoshi. Pretty solid manga in WSJ. Curious if this is where it ends, or we move to another arc.

I do feel bad for Shiki seeing the attacked and having to fight the dead Oni. The irony of who is looked as the hero is the villain in his eyes. Him embracing the villain role even though he is the protagonist in this story. Though the situation gets worse. With Kuna out of it right now I wonder what happens next.

Man, the conversation between Lili & Mink was a bit depressing. As Lili says, she is fake and of course we can get that, after all, she isn't a normal kid. Meanwhile, Mink feels fake. Now why could that be? I guess for her, she can feel like her own person, but does she have doubts about?

8VAYq4V.png

fWVIgNu.png

Cuku is definitely a bit insane. She clearly missed the point that Hawk was trying to say. Her complaints of nobody looking at her, but we know already Mink does. Now I doubt Hawk is taken out, but curious what happened.

I was suspicious of Misato's timing last chapter, but I wouldn't have predicted that she would have baited him.

xbbMW37.png

At the very least she isn't with Rukawa. Though I do admit he does not seem as bad as his introduction showcased. Though being a tier 1 is something Yutaro should push for.

Great chapter really showing how you can take a more vibrant happy environment and be able to adjust it to add a darker vibe to it. Great stuff from the author and I love how they showcase it.

Next chapter it seems the shift will focus on Wakaba.

People can say hurtful stop, but the fact that that girl apologized would mean a lot. Lemon couldn't hate her because that would be unreasonable.

vWHY3TP.png

Though taking that to her meeting with Sunao. She could have apologized like that girl did, but she put herself in his shoes. In fact, it would have been easier for him to hate her for the rest of his life. In fact, she planned to do that, but we got the body swap incident. Thus add a factor to Lemon's emotions.

There is still more to see on Sunao's side, but this flashback portion was great. I didn't expect it to be this good when it started.

So when Hikaru lost his cool and attacked Yoshiki something happened. Though the vision he has me curious. Does that have to with whoever is possessing Hikaru's body now? Though him knowing Hikaru is now dangerous, but he doesn't do that. Could that be influence pointing him towards that direction?

EyimFbp.jpeg

zjBKaNF.jpeg

The other members of the neighborhood feel more important. They talk about Hikaru going missing and coming back, but not finishing the ritual. What ritual? Is "Kubitachi's Burden" is what is possessing Hikaru? More questions added to the table.

J67pFBp.jpeg

zAJoeMu.jpeg

Interesting that Yoshiki found Hikaru dead, which is why he knew that wasn't Hikaru. Though rather before Hikaru died he felt bad about leaving Yoshiki alone. Perhaps it alludes to they were truly closer friends then what the manga has showcased so far. Though when he puts himself inside Hikaru he feels a bit of darkness that leaves a mark on his arm. Though more and more it is clear that the fake Hikaru doesn't understand how to be human. You see it him not understanding that darkness Yoshiki feels is uncomfortable. Hell in the bonus chapter he can't understand feelings when the girl confesses to her.

MroIt5C.jpeg

HBrDNw5.jpeg

VPFye0d.jpeg

What is most concerning is now things are happening to the people surrounding Yoshiki. Now with his sister being attacked by some hair monster. Though even asking Hikaru for help he ends being twisted and attacking Hikaru. It seems to be praying on Yoshiki's doubts and using that against him. Curious what this thing is relative to the monster inside Hikaru and what comes next.

2nd of the 4 new series from WSJ. Pretty solid chapter 1. It established what Shengua are. Really established the relationship between Kou & Chiyou well. Easy to understand why she would not eat Kou. Though it is hard where it goes from here, though. Though chapter 1 felt more like a one-shot.

Interesting chapter. I do like Enten allowing a different path that Samura wants to go through. A path that Samura couldn't be aware of was makes things interesting. What does Samura do now?

g2aCxxY.png

I thought it was great. As something to protect can be a source for strength. Hell protecting Yuri was proof of that. Now one could say does Yor still want to be an assassin.I also like how McMahon admits he is selfish. Though I do believe that when he is with his wife he is true with her, and he loves her.

kjug3TE.png

fDaA0ky.png

Now for Yor what does she want. What comes the next chapter is important. While yes the marriage came so she can continue her assassin gig. But now the fake marriage can also be a motivating indicator to continue being an assassin. Next chapter should be very interesting.,

Ichi the Witch is really on pace to be one of the best WSJ titles. At the very least the best is Akane-banshi. Though that one had a slower start then Ichi.

At the beginning of the arc Ichi became family with Desscaras. Of course, Ichi didn't understand the meaning of family. Though this whole experience and especially of Gokuraku & Richia he does now. That tear is a show of proof.

A6b7TPR.png

APSXQev.png

Now I am curious what happens next & Gokuraku will join Ichi. Although would he want to be separated from his sister is what I wonder.

Harukaze Mound - Chapter 2:

I am very curious how the focus will be split between the brothers. The idea of them being rivals is interesting, but would this imply that the focus does need to be split between them. Well, at least early I would expect much more focus on Nagiharu. As expected, Nagiharu would need to prove himself to his new teammates. Liking what I am seeing so far.

I loved this chapter. Back at the start of the series, we know how onesided Towa's love is. I think the reality of how love can be and how much it can hurt. She fears that the love that Shibuya feels isn't his true feelings. Plus, I can understand why he is trying to please Towa's father. At the same time, I can't imagine hearing her father constantly from him is what she wants. Love is never ideal and how Towa progresses at this point is key.

K8XkaNy.png

vKuiqj2.png

tS4Md6G.png

I give Shisui credit for confessing because he can tell Towa is in pain. It will be significant how the author handles this. I think we all know Shisui has no shot with Towa. I just would like for Towa to turn him down.

So learning about Asako was interesting. It seems she is referred to as a hearer. It's very interesting because the words in the manga she can hear. This is assuming the rest of the normal people can't see that. Of course, it makes sense why her grandma deterred her from messing with it. Though it did save Yuki's life, and it's mentioned by Yuki Asako has good intuition. More than likely it is due to being a hearer. Although it did get her in trouble with Hikaru because he was about to kill her. Curious what her role is.

The stranger definitely adds a presence to the story. Although he gives the feeling that he knows what he is talking about. The interesting thing is more so Hikaru & his father Kohei. What ritual failed? I am wondering if this has to do with the note Yoshiki found in Hikaru's room, which said something about Inukai-sama or something. Very likely he is talking about the thing possessing the dead Hikaru, which maybe it is coming down is why you can enter the mountain safely now. Also interesting that he set up the barrier that Hikaru couldn't go through last volume. Although the stranger is a bit odd in his own way. Making barriers by using his organs is creepy as hell. Then the mark on his neck. What is up with that? He mentions using his guard dogs to go after Nounuki-sama. Curious what his presence adds to the story.

Yoshiki being attracted to the supernatural, almost had hid kill Hikaru. Although an even bigger point is when Yoshiki stops Hikaru from killing Asako. As he doesn't understand the meaning of life. Of course, he is a supernatural entity and to him life and death are the same token. Hell, he is something of the dead that is possessing Hikaru. Which is the thing where Yoshiki being around him is a bad idea as his value of life and the new Hikaru's value of life are way different. Although he seems to truly value Yoshiki's life. But why, though? Could this be human traits coming into play and him turning bit more human. Even in reality what he came from wasn't anything human? Though him offering Yoshiki's a bit of his insides at least does show how much he means to Hikaru. Perhaps the answers lie from when the original Hikaru lived. Still, he is committed to help the new Hikaru find answers by himself. Considering this Hikaru can't die, he is definitely brave or more so a fool.

Reading up chapter 25 of Shinobu Undercover:

The thought of potentially Public Safety Ninja killing Aoi's parents is an interesting turn. Though that could be Kawasemi manipulating Yodaka's situation. More than like Public Safety Ninja isn't as good as we know, but the Rouge Ninjas aren't much better. More than likely answer isn't black or white.

It is curious if the thing inside of Hikaru is Nounki-sama, which is the note remaining in Hikaru's room. Even more so, there is a clear hint with Hikaru's grandfather that their family committed in a sin, which seems obvious at the end of the volume. Though the most interesting is that there are other shrines or Kubitachi in other regions. The shape is human, which is really weird. The reason they connect is that there used to be one village that was called Kubitachi Village. Essentially, Nounki-sama used to be a god of that village, though with the famine, it is now regarded as a curse god. So if that is who is inside Hikaru, that is scary. Even more so, Hikaru meets the daughter of the old lady she killed. Clearly, for him to understand the gravity of killing from a human's perespective is far away.

6ohE44f.jpeg

VOwgHdM.jpeg

As. the stranger approaches Yoshiki he can observe that he is mixed. More than likely he is mixed too. So does Kurebayashi. Though her experience is interesting because unlike with Hikaru, her husband came back and, of course, like Yoshiki she was beyond pleased to have him back. He was an impurity which makes you wonder if he wanted to be with his family, but the son died because he couldn't be a true family again. It's clear the thing in Hikaru is a thing above that, but the same logic holds that him being with Yoshiki is a mistake. Though it could be too late at this point given Yoshiki's resolve.

Vd3VX2m.jpeg

XwxvcFF.jpeg

HFs2mU4.jpeg

Hikaru attracting impurities is def an issue. Though the answers they got from Takeda is more alarming. Though there is something rooted in Hikaru's family history regarding Nounki-sama. But it seems impurities attracted to Takeda. Then the stranger comes to kill Hikaru. Just leaving even more questions to the table.

Shinobi Undercover - Chapters 26-30: So Kawasemi being Aoi's brother could be interested, but is that true? Good to see Yodaka getting things back on the right track. For him wanting to protect Aoi and actually work on his major flaws. Also interesting to see the other fugitive ninjas gathering as well.

As Mitsukai makes room for Rabi to be safe, at the same time, she gives Lune an opportunity to escape. Though given that she was the only one to show him kindness, it's good to see him to return that. Even if that might spell the end for the two of them.

Man I loved this chapter. Seeing the friendship between Rikka & Iko has been so good. Of course, they are love rivals, but the comment Rikka wants Arisu to see the best version of her is very heartwarming. It goes to the saying you want them to see the best version of you. Plus Rikka adores Iko too.
