He is not though. If this were true mannie would have reinvented sound and still be relevant today... Storch produced 2 hits solo last year. A top ten record for chris brown in "undecided "and Roddy rich's most viewed single/video down below.

Mannie is better drum programmer than storch. And that's where it ends. Storch is a much better as an overall producer. There are only a handful of producers that manage to have hits and relevance spanning 20+ years in the game. Guys like storch, timbo, pharrell, swizz, just blaze etc are on another level.

If mannie was on his Scott storch shyt he could played "before Iet go" - one of the biggest songs of last year and a future staple at every black wedding

It’s embarrassing you think Make It Rain and Lean Back were cultural. Back That Azz Up is more cultural and long standing than anything Scott Storch has, Still Dre included. Make It Rain and Lean Back were simply good songs for the moment, and NY clubs probably aren’t even playing that now. Scott Storch “won” because of the artists he (and 4 other dudes) produced for. Just like in the other thread, if you think Scott Storch won, it’s cause you giggle and blush when Baby Boy and Candy Shop plays. Storch’s production is good for the moment, Mannie’s is good for life.

How is it embarrassing? "Make It Rain" and "Lean Back" were cultural. Those songs aren't as big as "Back That" culturally, but still cultural. All that other jazz is opinion. And for the record, I don't think all that much of Storch's hit songs.

Those co-production are a huge reason why Storch was able to score hits with Beyonce, Aguilera, 50 Cent, Lil' Kim, etc. This wasn't some big names hiring him to do all the work. What's crazy is ya'll wouldn't be going to bat for Mark Batson or Mike Elizondo like that at all.

If Mike Elizondo went up against Premo and started playing "In Da Club" and joints he co-produced with Justin Timberlake and he was awarded W's for those songs, there would be all kinds of people saying he cheated because he only played on "In Da Club" and was playing Pop joints against Premo.

One thing I will say in Storch's defense is he only played the piano melodies of some of these hits and didn't just play instrumentals or the songs themselves. If he just played the piano portion in his battle, then no, there should be nothing said about cheating. That isn't cheating because that was his contribution to those songs. From what I saw from some of the reactions is that Scott was replaying the songs on the keyboard.

Those 4 songs are Mannie's production, his beats are used on Wobble and Before I let go, and he has credits for Playa Why You Hating and What Happened to that boy

Those Scott songs don't beat out those Mannie songs.. As I said, Mannie shyt is still being used today..

nikka everybody shoulda been disqualified up until that point. Mannie the only one who followed those rules up until then. But fukk that battle. Cause honestly. The Mannie vs Storch battle was the worst energy out of all of em. Cause of all the disrespect and drama. Rza and Premo kinda took a shot at them.

Mannie Fresh is clearly a better producer than Scott Storch IMO. I was surpised so many people thought the opposite going in to that battle.

this is why the dj premier and the rza battle was special cause they respect each other and the fans were more inclined to appreciate both producers minus that the competition aspects it was more fun
