nikka everybody shoulda been disqualified up until that point. Mannie the only one who followed those rules up until then. But fukk that battle. Cause honestly. The Mannie vs Storch battle was the worst energy out of all of em. Cause of all the disrespect and drama. Rza and Premo kinda took a shot at them.

NAAH IF U PRODUCED A TRACK 50-50 AND BRING IT TO A BEAT BATTLE, OK FINE... OR IF YOURE MAJORITY PRODUCER N HAVE A CO-PRODUCER N SESSION PLAYERS, OK.... BUT PLAYING BEATS WHERE U DONT EVEN HAVE PRODUCTION CREDIT ON? CMON BRODIE

Mannie Fresh is clearly a better producer than Scott Storch IMO. I was surpised so many people thought the opposite going in to that battle.

this is why the dj premier and the rza battle was special cause they respect each other and the fans were more inclined to appreciate both producers the competition aspects was fun and friendly and mature it was more fun.
even the bo1da vs hit-boy or the Johnta vs Neyo, and t-pain vs lil jon were done with respect and the crowd had fun minus letting competition get in the way of fun

also,scott storch has more range
manny is excellent in his pocket in his niche
both are winning

Bro who cares. The way Mannie carried on in the battle and after the battle clearly pissed Swizz and other producers off. When Swizz mentions the battles he don’t even list them. My thing is if nikkas feel Mannie won than ok. But it’s the MANNER in how nikkas was doing shyt that rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. shyt was supposed to be a fun celebration. Who wins really didn’t matter in the grand scheme. Mannie hopped out the gate on some disrespectful shyt. It’s the same reason Swizz and even Snoop had to get at 2Chainz for tryna create some south vs everybody shyt. When the energy ain’t even supposed to be like that. Premo and Rza sent a shot at them nikkas and Premo was even going for Mannie in that battle from what I seen. nikkas ain’t respect that shyt. Storch been getting disrespected like crazy for no reason.

Mannie loss off the rip for being unprepared. He was surprised when Scott had a list. Not to mention he clearly handled listen to the battles before him.

he was auto gonna lose tho, all his work is with one group of people, unlike Scott who worked with people from every coast and Rnb. And yes Mannie left stuff on the table.

a better battle woulda been vs juicy J imo. Having 99% of your beats coming from one camp puts you at a major disadvantage vs somebody who works with everyone, baby held him back, and like other said his beats even tho influenced the landscape has been surpassed by youngings and the youngings seem to be more influenced by juicy j.

Manny bringing up that hotel shyt was wild corny and disrespectful, and at that point he was already losing big time. So it made him look way worse

Classic Niccas
only on the coli and in new orleans does anybody think mannie fresh won

:what:

If Rick Rock was in a battle and he started playing the beat to "Ambitionz Az A Ridah",
that would CRUSH almost anything else the other person would play - but a lot of folk
would stand up like "W-w-wait, I thought Daz made that beat!!" That's the problem with this chit here.

that chit was a str8 sample anyway.

lol @ that track needing co-producers.

juicy j doesn't have the hits or REAL-TIME cultural relevance to compete.
altho, I don't think real-time matters to the social media audience.

theres more juicy j influence on today, because juicy j is much much easier to duplicate.
btw, I thought it was dj paul AND juicy j.

Yea it probably was both. But I think juicy did the bulk and he’s still producing today. Compared to manny who nobody is really using his beats. Idk why tho, can’t really reach outside of his comfort zone.

Going into this battle I was naturally going for Mannie Fresh because I’m from the south if for no other reason. I will say that the tracks Fresh dropped resonated more with me because of my locality but Scott has some monsters and I naturally lost my shyt when Storch dropped “You Got Me” and started playing the keys along with it!!! That was dope as hell. Fresh did go over board on the disrespect lol nikka this ain’t URL . I’ve been enjoying all of these battles that’s been one of the best things to come out of this whole quarantine.

Full disclosure: I didn't hear the battle, and I haven't listened to any of these battles...

...and the reason is because of chit like this.

These are hit contests, and not really "who has the better beat by round" or whatever.
That being said, the outcomes are sort of predictable AND your co-producers getting credit
kinda muddies the waters.

For example, dude in here said he shoulda been matched with someone like Rick Rock.
Rick Rock is one of my favorite producers of the modern era but (1) I know his
main style is an acquired taste that many don't rock with (2), his secondary style
is mainstream and while not as mind-blowing, has made some major hits. But, he has
co-produced some CLASSICS...

Sidebar: and btw...imo, this is in the same realm as MCs with ghostwriters, too.
In a battle, it's supposed to be MC vs. MC....but if one MC has other MCs writing for him
that's fugazi.

Yeah. That's the sneaky play here, "co- production". That's where things get muddled.
