could careless about blacks selling materialism to other blacksAlexander Wang and Ozwald Boateng are not White and get praised highly. Dont come with that bullshyt when what Kanye West crafted was fukking average.
I'm not an expert about that world but isn't it less about volume and more about exclusitivity?it says volumes about the game that a black man whos sold millions of records cant get funded for a line, let alone have his own mooga to do so
Marc Jacobs worked retail at a high fashion shop and then started his own brand out of collegeYe isnt trying to be an ECKO, Sean John ect. ie Brands that came and went. He is trying to be a Marc Jacobs, Tom Ford type. A Versace or Armani kind of brand.
Those guys started out at major fashion houses before doing coming out with their own brands. And those brands will be popular for at least the next hundred years.

Just because you sell lots of records or sneakers doesnt make you attractive to them.. It's not like McDonalds....

I'm sure there are others who bypassed high fashion houses, especially Americans. Kanye is at a disadvantage not being French/Italian, not being black
But he is at an advantage in being a multi millionaire. He can hire the best designers and factories to make his shyt out of pocket. If he really believed in his shyt he would, but he doesn't, he needs a white fashion entity to validate him
these rappers money aint near as long as they'll have you believe. he aint got the money to put upBut he is at an advantage in being a multi millionaire. Ibthought that was ye proving a point that his name is strong enough to gather unwavering support whether its commercially accept ("graduation" shutter shades) or polarizing (200 dollar t e e shirts, yeezy 2's, louis vutton collabs)Considering how much Complex(ecko owned) dikk ride Kanye West this is surprisingly refreshing
I don't think this guy gets it tho, Kanye out here selling white tee's for 200 bucks he's not tryna be a rebel to the fashion industry, he just wants apart of the status quo

Kanye just wants to be white
