Not only that but its quite possible they aren't really trying to give Thibs or JVG full control and having other candidates gives them some leverage. Thing is I fully believe Jackson and even Brooks are decent enough to make them a playoff team, they just won't be able to do much more than that.

What's a better team for Mark to coach then a team with the potential of the Timberwolves. He's all about making a young team good not a good team great right? At least I thought that was the wrap on him.

Love thibs when it comes to defense. but this team needs to run run run. Thibs is a great coach but can he adjust his system to fit the talent? Mark Jackson- no because he doesnt know how to put together a staff. Also he doesnt recognize talent(Bazemore, DRaymond)

Based on what we've seen from all of them, why are we to believe Van Gundy or Thibodeau (particularly JVG) are going to do more than that?
