Other athletes do this BEFORE the season. This guy's doing it at the END of the season and he isn't a free agent until 2019. He's also been bytching about innings limits and 6-man rotations all year until just now. :mjpls:

shyt hey may have wanted to pitch more when the season began, hell maybe a week ago he wanted to pitch.

But hes changed his mind now and the mets gotta deal with it :yeshrug:

Also, if Harvey is that upset about his current contract situation, he needs to be mad at his agent, not the Mets.
The only thing he's upset about is that he feels the wrong NY team is paying him. He loves the attention. As great as he is, he's always had an unsteady relationship with the Mets fans because he always seems like he'd rather be on the other side of town.

He's the Kevin Love of baseball only Harvey could actually lead you to a chip

here's what you're forgetting. If he really dreams about wanting to be a Yankee one day and all that, the Yankees wouldn't pay someone who would do that shyt. they'd overpay the shyt outta him if he DID pitch in the postseason.

That innings limit prevents absolutely nothing

Breh do you watch baseball? Not overpaying? For a pitcher? for matt harvey? :heh:

Reread that to yourself :dead:

Have you seen the contracts they giving out ::mjlol:

Harvey is a LOCK for 250+ probably 300 mill :bryan:

fukk it, why don't all athletes change their minds whenever they feel like it?

Brady can shut it down this December; Steph Curry checks out in April; Trout next September; etc.

So you're saying the Mets KNEW the guidelines the doctors gave but didn't bother to ask Harvey in May or even June? That's their fault.
They didn't know he had a concrete limit. They wanted to stretch out his starts so he could be fine for the postseason. That's natural for a guy who got TJ surgery. But Harvey gave off the mantra of being a competitor and bytched about not getting more starts. It got to the point where Collins told the media that Harvey needed to get over it. Then he blindsides them with this bullshyt. Nah, fukk that. And I have no reason to side with the Mets on this, but Harvey is int he wrong.

I can't wait to hear Francesa has to say on Tuesday.

Not if he doesn't pitch in October.

Who would pay him that kind of money when you're bytching out on the playoffs? That's why elite pitchers get paid that kind of money, because you think that kind of investment will lead to a championship. How can he lead you to a championship when he doesn't wanna be there?

Also, how is he a lock for $250 mil when great teams wouldn't pursue him? If he's doing it in this situation, why wouldn't he try that somewhere else? If he's bout it, prove it, because doing it in October is how he'll see that kind of money unless he wants to be a loser.

Don't see anyway he's not pitching in the playoffs if they make it.

There will be too much pressure from the team, fans, and media.

A player being paid less than 500k per year with new York city/state taxes, who is 26 and has yet to get that big pay day. fukk that I'm shutting it down. You can't miss what you never been too. The Mets fukked up not Harvey. And Harvey didn't have to say nothing.... HIS DOCTOR gave the recommendation. A world renowned doctor at that.

Harvey is the one who got fat and cant even stay in shape

Breh, he just came from TJS. Going from 0-200 innings(he's never pitched that much in a season) after taking a whole season off to rehab is overkill to me. I bet Harvey thought The Mets were going to suck this year too. :pachaha:

I hate Scott Boras though. :scustcurry:
