lol at you using cheap hyperboles to try do devalue my point. i never said players should be makin min wage or any other bullshyt. all i said is instead being a stupid sheep and looking at the market you decide whether a player fits YOUR value for him. if he wants more, you let him go and get an underrated player. its a game of value, just like everything in business and life.
lol at being old or disgruntled. im 26 btw. plenty of players deserve their deals, but the qbs dont desever the 3x price. and picks >>>>> because you can build a cheap team via draft and get some more expensive FAs without going to cap hell
whats funny is that my point is clearly understood if you put yourself in my shoes and consider qbs just like any other position. after all youd prolly balk at giving aj green 25milly. but because you cannot fathom the axiom white media and the league tryying to be 'entertaining' has ingrained in your brain, you miss my whole point by miles.
keep fapping to qbs. trip is an expert at it, he can prolly help you
Elite QBs will always be in demand and be a top paid athlete, especially in todays pass happy NFL. Even with that said every contract is different & teams are deciding that that value DOES fit for them. An elite level QB is worth $100 million dollars. FACT. Almost none of these deals have been about a QB wanting more, it's about a team & player coming to terms on a deal that works for BOTH sides, a point you don't seem to understand b/c you think the starting QB and the backup long snapper should have similar pay stubsyou do; but you do not have to follow the established conventions. In what business do you not look at what the market bears in terms of establishing value?![]()
lol so why not 4980294 million ? why not give qbs blank checks ? lol. Almost none of these deals have been about a QB wanting more, it's about a team & player coming to terms on a deal that works for BOTH sides, a point you don't seem to understand[ An elite level QB is worth $100 million dollars. FACT
again, another retarded hyperbole. not only most teams do not have a backup long snapper, a long snapper is not even a part of the 22.b/c you think the starting QB and the backup long snapper should have similar pay stubs
I didnt contradict myself anywhere, I was talking about MY values; not the falcons gm values or your values. my stance is simple. You sound old as shyt & just contradicted yourself AGAIN: If my value for a QB is $100 million over 5 years that may be 3 or 5 times the price of my starting RB. IF that's how I value my players, that's how I'll pay them..
you dont have to tell me anything. Ive forgotten more football than you have watched in your life. and you didnt understand anything in terms of economicsHow many times do I have to tell you that QB is NOT like any other position in the NFL. It's not equivalent to a RG or a punter. Positions on teams have different values and those values correlate directly to pay. You're hell bent on a crusade to prove that elite QBs don't deserve big money, but all you've proven is that you have an outdated view on economics & that you have a limited understanding on value in the NFL
funny how both of you qb lovers would endorse the Niners getting peyton manning and giving him 20 million before this year ?
but what did harbaugh do ? kept smith for cheaper, then groomed kaep
oh but what does harbaugh know about football ? not more than homer ass AVXL or trip
theres nothing that says harbaugh cannot do it again with another qb groomed behind kaep. the team is still good around kaep.
THATS how you build a team. not throwing a 5th of your cap at one player.
and Im saying theyre wrong. isnt that difficult to understand. also theyre under pressure from media and fans who'll eat them alive because they are brought up on this stupid idea that QB is god and every other position is inferior.lol, you're acting as if myself or any other fan is forcing GM's to pay the quarterback. They're paying the QB because they see that as the most important piece to consistently having them playing in January. Playing in January = job safety. shyt isnt that difficult.
actually I meant it that almost any qb who can make nfl throws can be groomed to be decent enough to give team a chance. If the Niners let Kaepernick walk(which isnt happening), replace him and still win 11+ games a season then I'll buy into your theory.
How many teams have gone from one very good QB to another over the past 10 years? Not many. Like you said, they dont grow on trees.
and Im saying there wrong. isnt that difficult to understand. also theyre under pressure from media and fans who'll eat them alive because they are brought up on this stupid idea that QB is god and every other position is inferior.
the romo contract was incredibly stupid for the cowboys, they couldve traded the guy for picks and then drafted a new qb who wouldnt demand that much money. at least with falcons you can see the point- they think they can win now
with romo its absolutely stupid. cowboys aint doin shyt, so might as well build a TEAM for the future instead of paying romo the most money in history
actually I meant it that almost any qb who can make nfl throws can be groomed to be decent enough to give team a chance.
you dont just 'get lucky' and pick the right one. you make him. unless of course its a once in generation talent like marino or peyton
oh I agree about romo, pretty much completely (although hes for some reason terrible in the clutch). it's just there's no reason to pay him at all if they arent going to win anyway...flip him, get picks, rebuild completely. people have problems letting go of a qb even if hes making a ton of money. salary dumps happen all the time...just not with qbs.The Cowboys are a stupid franchise. It is what it is. However I think Romo gets unfairly shytted on- he's not the reason they aren't winning. That division is also a bytch.
nope. most teams that didnt have good qbs for a while dont know how to handle them properly. obviously you believe in this lottery as a jets fan.this is ridiculous on every level imaginable.
being a good qb is all about making the right decisions and not making mistakes. thats all. anything else on top is a bonus
ok, any reasonable college QB. lets keep it to drafted qbs.Why even draft a QB then?
After all- any college QB who can make throws can be groomed into a decent enough QB. Are you reading what youre writing? You cant honestly believe this crap. This is insanity.
