Not like Andre was being arrogant and disrespectful to other jazz pianists. He never made the project out to be more than what it is. Him having fun on the piano playing whatever came to mind

Experimentation is apart of learning

Which takes risk. When you a beginner you don't know enough to know what works. Only what other people say does. But by trying to figure it out yourself, you can often discover a lot of theory on your own

You're actually right. The fact that it was released and sold changes a lot. I still think the criticism is more harsh than it needed to be.
