Even if that were to be true, Durant is still the
better scorer (regardless if he isn't as good as Pierce at an arbitrary area of scoring - that's like saying Westbrook is better in the post than Curry is, yet Curry is still the better scorer). I don't get what's so hard to understand about this. He scores more points on better efficiency. Besides I still don't know why we're on this '
Durant can't back down players in the post' tip - when he isn't that type of player (he's more finesse than power) - yet he still manages to be one of the best and most efficent scorers when posting up:
The above is players ranked in accordance to FG% on post up attempts this season. Durant ranked 2nd in players who had at least 100 post ups (only behind Diaw) - just to put this into perspective, here are the #s/%s for other
notable post scorers with similar attempts:
Durant - 60.9% on 115 post up attempts
Duncan - 43% on 121 post up attempts
Gortat - 46.8% on 124 post up attempts
Kanter - 48.4% on 128 post up attempts
Valanciunas - 47.7% on 151 post up attempts
LeBron - 47.8% on 157 attempts (although LeBron did have 42 more attempts - Durant was by far more efficent)
