Then what was the point in you saying that dumb shyt in the first place? :heh:
Because its a fact? (I know you have trouble with those.) Because these posters can take a 2 second pause from being of-the-moment dikkriders and put some respeck on Pierce's name.

i think people gotta understand that there could have and should have been more unanimous mvps, but in the past there was always some troll ass nikkas voting for their guys without any consequence...the year Melo got a vote when Lebron shouldve been unanimous stands out..the year Shaq got all but one vote that I think went to A.I....in this era, any nikka that would have trolled the scoring champ with 400 3's on a 73 win team{ :mindblown:}...would have been rightfully barbecued on every platform known to man

its watered down as far as superstars go, however this nba era has superior role players to any other era. You got teams having bench rotations that would wipe off any 90s bench off the map, today there are los of players who can play some D and knock down a few shots. I mean shiiit a superstar like ewing his best scoring help in 90s was starks and allan houston :dead:
I dont know if he's bitter or not. But in terms of someone deserving the award unanimously, Curry was certainly it. I also think there's plenty of talent in the league right now- but the gap between Curry and the next guy this year was as wide as its ever been in league history. That was a historic season by every measure.
If u really think Curry in 2016 meant more to his team than prime Jordan and Shaq, I think u need really get your head together. There was like a 10 year stretch of them arguing of why Shaq wasn't the MVP every year.

Social media era stifles individual opinions.

In the past everyone would have a different perspective. It's impossible for any person to watch 100% of all nba action, so their opinon would be based on their own individual perspective from what they saw. Nowadays there's a Steph Curry highlight being passed around Twitter almost every night, literally 10 seconds after he makes the plays:mjlol:

Add that to the fact that these voters are no longer effectively anonymous and they are less likely to put out their own opinon.

Out here in my damn drawls
Kinda get where he's coming from, but Curry lead his team to the best record in NBA history and he has become a must-watch player in every arena in the country in just two seasons

There's really no way it shouldn't have been unanimous after the first point

So saying Durant should be considered a great if Pierce is, is being an of the moment dikk rider?

A more diverse scorer. Can score in more ways than Durant
First of all - what the hell does a "more diverse scorer" have to to do with anything (which you're wrong about might I add)? Durant is the better scorer, that's all there is to it.

I followed it up.

Durant allowed himself to get pushed around and further away from the basket. Paul doesn't. He's a better inside/outside scorer IMO.

There are way more bad teams in the league today than have ever been

I would give the MVP to LeBron because they're a way different team without him

The Warriors are still dominant without Curry but whatever

TMAC was right there league is watered down because there are too many teams

Get rid of 3-4 teams and you'll have more stars per team

How many teams made the playoffs this year with a losing record?

:dwillhuh:

Even if that were to be true, Durant is still the better scorer (regardless if he isn't as good as Pierce at an arbitrary area of scoring - that's like saying Westbrook is better in the post than Curry is, yet Curry is still the better scorer). I don't get what's so hard to understand about this. He scores more points on better efficiency. Besides I still don't know why we're on this 'Durant can't back down players in the post' tip - when he isn't that type of player (he's more finesse than power) - yet he still manages to be one of the best and most efficent scorers when posting up:

AprIpNj.png

The above is players ranked in accordance to FG% on post up attempts this season. Durant ranked 2nd in players who had at least 100 post ups (only behind Diaw) - just to put this into perspective, here are the #s/%s for other notable post scorers with similar attempts:

Durant - 60.9% on 115 post up attempts

Duncan - 43% on 121 post up attempts
Gortat - 46.8% on 124 post up attempts
Kanter - 48.4% on 128 post up attempts
Valanciunas - 47.7% on 151 post up attempts
LeBron - 47.8% on 157 attempts (although LeBron did have 42 more attempts - Durant was by far more efficent)
