I'll give it a good album off the strength of Loco-motive. But it had filler and Summer on smash :sadcam:

But even the filer was fine because he actually had some nice beats on there courtesty of No ID. Like even tracks like Reach Out and Summer on Smash were fine to play in the summer and could have easily been on radio. Nothing groundbreaking but playable. Sometimes good enough is great enough

I'd probably give LIG a 8 - 8.5 out of 10, MGHG probably a 6, but will keep playing it as things can grow on you.

I hated Reach Out. Mary J wasn't needed. The only thing I like about that song is the realness of "When you hood to hang in those Hollywood circles, but you too rich to chill in that hood that birthed you." I felt the ethos of that.

Summer on Smash was a typical Swizz throwaway....Miguel's worst feature of the year too.

LIG was one of the three best rap albums last year, but I think die hard to the death Nas fans hold that album in higher regard than the average listener would. But then again, I never saw how something like Vol 2. was considered a classic either :manny:. With that said, it's too soon for me to judge. But just off production alone, MCHG will probably have better replay value. I have no idea where people get all that talk about LIG's beats being hot. Stay, Cherry Wine and like two other songs have that. I guess I'm still in the minority of thinking that Nas should be rapping over those Rick Ross beats like "Usual Suspects."

Reach Out, You Wouldnt Understand and Summer on Smash had a bit of an Escobar vibe to them but I almost think that was done on purpose. I said last year when the album dropped that if you look at it, it sort of tires to capture different eras of Nas. Miguel was wasted on that record and could probably stand to not be on it
Aside from that I just think people dug it cause No ID has those kinda early 2000s Kanye type beats that so many wanted to kinda hear Nas on (Accidental Murderer, Daughters, Stay)
But for the most that had everything I wanted from a summertume Nas album and I still say The Don was a banger that deserved to be bigger in the States that summer.:yeshrug:

Life is Good a classic? :rudy:

shyt has a great beginning, a terrible middle section and a pretty mediocre end. Forget MCHG for a second... There is no way LiG is a classic fam :dead:

Nobody outside of Nas stans gave a shyt about it either :deadmanny:

LIG had Mary J Blige on it.

And Summer on Smash.

And Ross murdered him on his own shyt.

Magna Carta all day er'day.

I seen Nas try to ruin the album with that wack ass verse too :rudy:

Seriously

F.U.T.W, Heaven, Nickels & Dimes, Picasso Baby, Versus...

how the fukk is this even a question.

nikkas hate the camel cause he brags about never falling off & his money. They would rather listen to a broke nikka brag about the money he don't really have :skip:
