TBH, I would support Tariq before I would her. As someone who has helped put together large conferences for clients and while I was doing agency work.
200K isn't much - and without sponsors to pay for venue, permits, marketing/advertising, panels, travel, etc. Especially with the number of attendee's it's going to be. I don't see the issue with the cost. People want it - they will have to pay for it.
