Men over 35...Why dont you workout!?

Over 35. I try to work out 4 times a week, often ends up being 3.

Do mainly compound lifts. Also picked up the habit of walking more instead of driving or taking the bus. So ill run little errands and I'll choose the 20-30 minute walk instead. I kinda enjoy it cause i just put on the headphones and listen to some podcasts.

What's stopping me from doing more is little injuries I've accumulated over time. Sometimes i feel fine everywhere and want to work out but im sore more than normal in these problem areas so i take the extra rest day. I've tried working out through it and i ended up needing to rest for a whole week.

I need to do better food wise as well. The working out is helping me get away with eating junk once in a while but i know i would look and feel better if i dialed in my nutrition a little more.

But yeah, i do find it's not as easy as when i was younger.

During the week, veggies and chicken breasts. Weekends I'll eat whatever I want (within reason of course).
How do you feel throughout the day? Do you feel hungry at all, and just power through? Or you don't even notice?

Usually before I work out around 2 is when I feel it most. I drink over a gallon of water a day so I just keep doing that to stave off the hunger pangs. When I get home from work at about 6, I'm fukking starving. Thats when I eat.

You should be in the gym by 25. No excuses. Honestly by 21 if you are smart and think long term.

Resistance training and some form of cardio. If God didn't make it, don't eat it. Keep your alcohol and weed usage to a minimum. Get 7-8 hours of quality sleep. You will be 35 feeling like you're 25 if you stick with these basics.

35 is late. Your T levels are most likely in the dumps already, that's why all these dudes whine about being depressed and feeling tired by noon. A lot of modern day dudes drink too much, eat too shytty and don't sleep well.
21 is ideal to start going hard in the gym. You’d set yourself up for a lifetime. Also your body will mode into a healthy frame a lot easier and long term.

I don't know about other 35+ year olds but I work out. I go to the gym 3 times a week, ~2 hours per session - Lifting weights and on the cardio machines.
We gotta dead this needing to workout for two hours shyt.

45-60 minutes is more than enough if you’re working out high intensity

Ya'll better than me doing OMAD. I gotta eat :pachaha:What's your one meal look like?

It was a meal I can fit in a Medium Sized Bowl so say a combo of Veggies,Rice and Chicken/Turkey,now I use those Meal Prep Plates wit the Three Portion Sections(Protein,Grains,Veggies)

I feel You on having to Eat,my Morning MCT/Butter Coffee plus Water and Gum thru the day does carry me thru but after being constantly being told I gotta stop skipping Lunch,I started Packing a Lunch(mainly Cottage Cheese,Yogurt wit Fruits and a Tortilla with PB)

One healthy meal with smoothie/vitamins /water is really all you need

Nobody needs to eat 3 times a day :scust:
