The reality is, woman get ran through and have kids and baggage at all ages. Some dudes simply struggle with choosing quality women no matter what age bracket they're in. As I said in my post, I believe men should wait until they're 30 before marriage, but that's about him getting himself right....not about the woman.

If you're focused on all the wrong things when it comes to a partner, you're going to choose wrong whatever age you or she is at

And alot of dudes have mommy issues, so only increases the chances for f#ckery

The problem is when you feel like you can't settle down because of some checklist,

Especially some superficial checklist.


I can tell you that someone you build and struggle with you'll have a much closer bond with than someone that comes alone after you've completed some list of things to do before settling down.


Nothing wrong with having goals, and understanding that being in a relationship might hinder those goals and choosing not to get in one for that reason, its smart. However for most people that's not the case.... its really just an excuse.


The older you get the more you have to settle, plan and simple. You'll settle on things that if you could go back years ago you never would because your situation changes... If you want a bad 19 year old still at 30 when thats all you wanted on your side at 20 you might have some underlying issues.

Also it becomes harder to find "good" people that are willing to bend and work with you as you get older. Most people after 28ish are set in there way's. They know what they like, want and don't like and want...so trying to mesh to people together takes hard work, patience and maturity.


If you come across a good stable mature person in your early mid 20's lock them down for sure, its just rare to come across nowadays. Most people around that time get used, or turned out then are full of baggage and headaches. And the media teaches us never to settle and to chase the next latest greatest thrill, and people carry that into there relationships.

I dont know your situation. But when I started living on my own I took out student loans to get me started. Never finished school, just did it for the loan money. I was down on my luck and didnt have any money at the time. Dont know if this is helpful.

with all due respect this is pretty awful advice. OP is in a somewhat stable situation as they are living with their mom, no need to go taking out loans just to move out.

@Dave24 the number one thing that gouges you is rent and rent is highly dependent on location. Without giving us your approximate geographic location it will be difficult for us to give you an estimate.
