I knew someone would quote me because I used an overused elucidation that sometimes rings true. Silly me letting my perspective boil down to that.

I normally don't give into the conspiracies, however, I don't even think this is a conspiracy. Eliminating ownership and creating perpetual profit are means to narrow power to the hands of a few.

I'm not sure what relevance your assertion that owning ones kids isn't even predetermined. My concern is all spectrums of a political system can eventually inadvertently turn into an undesirable political system; an oligarchy or a monarchy.

No one truly owns anything, sure, but there have been times that one or the few can dictate what they want the masses to do, and the illusion of mass ownership actually had some control in restraining that ability.

What Mercedes, Tesla, Electronic Arts, Valve, Amazon and the 100 or so companies that control most of the production and distribution. of consumer, medical, agricultural materials is doing should be more alarming to the general public. But like someone else said previously, it'll eventually be looked at as a status symbol to stunt on your peers, because we're competitive by nature.

This is problematic to me because I see the greater implications of what this could turn into in 20-30 years from now once younger generations; many of whom are out right disdainful towards older generations; begin to assimilate to this standard of living. That's the side I am on.
