I felt fukking crazy because the way Kunta worded his post, I thought I completely misunderstood what was going on....then the RZA tweets just reiterated the same dumb shyt, with slightly different wording.

If this happens I'm not copping anything Wu ever again. Not even the solo shyt, I don't care if they had nothing to do with this dumb ass plan. They're getting hit with strays for not talking RZA out of this.

Fred.

It's even more retarded when you take into account your last post, given that they're really selling this idea that the buyer will just give the shyt away for the love.

"Oh, don't worry about the 88 years thing, nahmane?? Whoever buys this piece of art, will bless the masses, the same way a single sunray would bless a garden of blooming Sunflowers, son! It'll be like, bong-bong, nahmane?!!?"

fukk outta here, Robert :laff:

I understand it, I'm not even mad, they just gave us an album, if they want to do something else with a particular album so be. It's theirs....

Man....fukk that.

The only reason they're in a position to do this is because fans supported them. It's not like they became successful completely independent of the people criticizing them.

I can't speak for anyone else in this thread, but I had all their shyt...."36 Chambers", "Tical", "OB4CL", "Ironman", etc. day 1. Skipped school to cop it, rain, snow storms, 100 degrees. Like a fukking mail man.

So the "it's theirs" logic is pointless. It would be like if you gave me money to start a restaurant, it blew up, and then one day I told you "ok, you can't eat here any more, until 88 years pass". Of course I could do that, since it's my restaurant....but the audacity....the blatant disrespect is :mindblown: when the shyt wouldn't even exist without your help.

Do they not have a right to do what they want with their music though? Haven't they individually and collectively given us such a huge amount already? I personally couldn't be mad if they wanted to save 1 project for a concept.

I don't agree, I don't feel like they owe me anything, they've put their work in over so many years and they've just recently put an album out. It's not like they have starved us of music.

Anyway, it seems like it just can't be commercially sold, so we can still hear it.

If it can't be sold, how do you expect to hear it? :dwillhuh:

I really don't understand the logistics you cats are using, to think we're ever going to hear this.

And they didn't give us anything. I paid for everything Wu related I own. You're acting like music is a charity, the fans made them millionaires and super stars. They are in a position to do some shyt like this because we put them there. And like I said, of course they can....but it's some sucker shyt.

I thought it was about having the original, like a piece of art, I heard it was a very nice package, so if they don't manufacture official CD's could someone just not in theory release an MP3 version? Thereby keeping the exclusivity yet allowing others to hear it?

So you think someone would spend $2-$5 million on it....then drop MP3s for free? The box and all that other shyt is window dressing, people are paying for the rarity of the music.

Just made a post prior to seeing your response...

Why does it have to be sold for us to hear it? People release free shyt all the time.

I do think we will hear it, probably within 5 years.

Yes, but you paid cause you wanted a product, it wasn't an investment. No-one forced you.

We did help them, but don't you think they have given us a lot of great music already? Like A LOT?...

Breh....people don't spend $5 million on something and then drop it for free, ever.

You asking "haven't they given us a lot of great music already?" would be like me asking "didn't we keep their lights on, food on their table, didn't we buy them cars?". It has nothing to do with anything, either way. The fact of the matter is they can only do this, because we've been supporting them for 20 years.

20 years ago nobody buys their albums, they go work at Costco or some shyt, and this entire conversation is a moot point because their careers never happen. We gave them that.
